參加過幾次國內TRCC賽事，

在RS路段時，

常想著為什麼要穿著賽車服，

忍著高溫，跑到荒山野嶺來，

為的是什麼？

那時，便覺得辦這比賽的人，

肯定是跟我們一樣熱愛拉力，甚至更勝；

我想，那是一種堅持吧！

2008年，

原 Dakar Rally 主辦方

Amaury Sport Organisation，

因安全問題撤守非洲轉進南美洲後，

由 "Africa Eco Race" 取代承辦，

如今已邁進第10個年頭，

賽程安排與 Dakar Rally 重疊，現正進行中。

本次比賽路線為

摩洛哥 - 茅利塔尼亞 - 塞內加爾，

共45台 Car、21台 Truck、

37台 Bike、1台 Quad 出賽。

參賽車數雖遠不及 Dakar Rally，

但其賽事精神，

如同其標語 "The race to Dakar" 所揭示，

可視為傳承 Dakar 於非洲續辦的光明燈火。

1979年開始的Dakar Rally，

有著隨時變臉的惡劣地形樣貌，

參賽車輛從摩托車、汽車至卡車，

賽道路線幾經歷史更迭，從非洲到南美。

唯一不變，是那充滿危險挑戰的漫長征途。
