Got stuck writing my own bio the other day. Kept typing "coach" and deleting it. Over and over.

Turns out that word just doesn't fit anymore.

I haven't stopped loving parkour, I've spent more than 15 years inside this sport. But what I actually want to talk about now is everything happening around it. Where it's heading. Who's running it. What we're losing and what we're not.

Same guy. Just looking at it from a few steps back.

You know what.. the X Games just stopped being the X Games.

This year they ran an actual draft! Skaters and BMX riders getting picked onto city teams like it's the NBA. LA, New York, Tokyo, São Paulo. Logos, general managers, and a $500k prize at the end of the season.

And look, on paper that kind of sounds exciting. But these sports were never built around teams, they were built around one person, one trick, and one moment that either landed or it didn't. The second you put a club badge on someone, you've changed what they're actually doing it for.

And I think that's kind of the bigger thing here, the second a sport gets a league, it stops belonging to the people doing it.

In parkour we've never had that. And honestly, I think that's the only reason it still feels like ours.
