🏎️ Hot, intense, a little bit messy at times… and definitely a Sepang weekend to remember. 🔥

Rounds 9, 10 and 11 of PCCA gave us pretty much everything.
Race 1 kicked off under the Sepang night sky and couldn’t have gone much better, with Francis taking P3 in Pro-Am and Christian and John locking out P1 and P2 in Masters.
Race 2 brought a tougher moment for Francis with a spin at T4, while Christian and John kept the results coming with P2 and P3 in Masters.

Then came our first 43-minute + 1 lap endurance race, and it certainly kept everyone awake. Francis and Christian both had incidents, and Christian and John even had a small contact between themselves, thankfully with no real consequences and without losing positions. John still brought it home in P3, adding another podium to the weekend.

But beyond the results, one of the best parts of Sepang was simply having Francis back with Modena Motorsports. It was genuinely great to have him with us again, made even more special with Dominique and Marcel joining us to support him throughout the weekend.

We leave Sepang happy, but the job isn’t finished: John still leads the Masters championship, and everything will be decided in Singapore. 🇸🇬🏁

🇲🇾 We’ve just landed in Sepang, our second home track, for a very special Porsche Carrera Cup Asia weekend featuring two sprint races and one 45-minute race. 🏁

First of all, a huge welcome back to Francis Tjia! After his massive crash in Shanghai, we’re extremely happy to finally have Francis cleared by the doctors and back behind the wheel with us. He’ll line up alongside Christian Chia and John Shen for what promises to be a busy weekend for Modena Motorsports.

There’s plenty of pressure on John this weekend. He arrives in Sepang leading the Masters championship, and with three races ahead, anything can happen. The target is simple: keep pushing and keep increasing that championship lead. 💪
Good luck to everyone, and let’s have a great weekend! 🏁

🏎️ What a Porsche Cup weekend in Bangsaen, Thailand.🇹🇭

Big rain, big sun, big wind… this street circuit gave us everything, as usual. It is always fantastic to race here, but there is no hiding the fact that Bangsaen is one of the most demanding and unforgiving tracks of the season, with several chassis and plenty of bodywork lost across the weekend.

For his first race with Modena Motorsports, XU Zhefeng could not have delivered a better performance in the OpenRoad car, replacing Christian Chia. Pole position in AM class, followed by victory in both races. A huge congratulations to him on a perfect team debut. John Shen also did a fantastic job in the Modena Motorsports car, qualifying P2 in Masters before making an incredible start in Race 1, taking the class lead and bringing it home to give us a double P1 podium in AM and Masters.

In Race 2, John kept it smart and controlled, choosing not to take unnecessary risks on such a tricky circuit. The race later finished under red flag, removing any chance for a late move, but P2 still brings valuable championship points and increases our lead. A special thank you to both our drivers for strong performances, great teamwork, and most importantly, bringing the cars back without damage. At Bangsaen, that is a result worth celebrating. 🏁

✈️ See you in Sepang on August 21–23, where we will have two sprint races and one 45-minute endurance race. 🇲🇾

🏁 A Strong Weekend at Fuji for Modena Motorsports 🇯🇵

We’ve just wrapped up Porsche Carrera Cup Asia at Fuji, and Race 1 was a fantastic moment for Modena Motorsports, with P1 in Pro-Am and P1 & P2 in the Masters class.

Race 2 was a little more chaotic for us, as John Shen was hit from behind through no fault of his own and unfortunately couldn’t continue, costing him precious championship points. Still, the team kept pushing, with Christian delivering another strong drive to return to the podium with P2, while Kerong also brought home P3 to complete a strong second race for Modena Motorsports.

Congratulations to Kerong Li and Christian Chia for bringing home the wins in Race 1, and wishing Kerong all the best for next weekend at Nürburgring. 💪

It was also great to have Francis back with us supporting the team.

Racing in Japan is always a great journey, and we already look forward to coming back.

For now, it’s time to pack up and get ready for Bangsaen! 🏁

🏁 Back at Fuji. 🇯🇵

For the first time since 2019, we return to Fuji Speedway for Round 5 & 6 of Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.
It is a special feeling to be back at such an iconic circuit, with three cars on the grid and the whole team ready for a new race weekend.

We are pleased to welcome back Christian, who will replace Dominic in the car this year. It will be his first time racing the 992.2, and we are all excited to see him enjoy the new generation Cup car.
We are also very happy to welcome Kerong, who will make his first race with us this weekend, while John will be back behind the wheel of the third car.

Francis will also be with us in Fuji to say hello to everyone as he continues his recovery from Shanghai.
A returning circuit, a refreshed line-up, and plenty of motivation across the team.

Fuji, we are ready. 🏁

Another strong and eventful weekend comes to an end for Modena Motorsports in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia at Zhuhai, and it was especially good for us to be racing at home.

We are proud to have taken back the Masters class lead, with John Shen delivering an outstanding P2 in Race 1 and a brilliant victory in Race 2. A double podium and a win is always something special, so congratulations to John for a superb job all weekend. Dominic Tjia also kept building momentum session after session, improving his pace throughout the weekend and staying clear of trouble in two chaotic races, which was no small achievement.

It was a weekend that tested everyone in different ways, but that is part of racing. The important thing is that the team kept pushing, kept working, and leaves Zhuhai with plenty to build on. Next stop: Fuji. 🇯🇵

🏁 Back in Zhuhai for Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Round 3 & 4, and it feels good to be racing at home. 🇨🇳

Before anything else, we want to send our full support to Francis Tjia following his heavy crash in Shanghai.
We are thinking of him every day and look forward to seeing him back with us soon. 💪

This weekend, John and Dominic will be representing Modena Motorsports, and we are also pleased to welcome Lu Zhiwei for his first event with our team. Lu is no stranger to the championship after competing in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia in 2024, and we are happy to have him with us in Zhuhai.

Home round, familiar ground, and a strong team spirit in the paddock, now it is time to get to work.
Wishing all our drivers the very best for the weekend.

Let’s go racing.
