Winners of the Tanzania National chess championship 2025 held at the Russian Cultural Center in Dar es salaam after a gruelling three days competition.

In the Open category, Louis garnered 7.5 points out of nine followed by Kilasa Misambo who got 7 points while Shadrack Lusako was third with 6 points.

In the ladies category, Mahi Shah, who is a candidate master (WCM), was crowned lady’s champion after winning all her nine games and gaining 9 points. Lissa Joseph was first runners up while Anahi Shah was second runners up.
