Plus personne ou presque n'utilise le sextant pour ses navigations au long cours depuis l'arrivée et la diffusion des GPS. Pour autant, le Sextant reste encore un outil qui fonctionne correctement et qui continuera à marcher même si les satellites cessent de fonctionner... Avec ce nouveau sextant, finis les calculs divers, les tables, l'heure précise etc... pour autant que l'on repère des astres et un horizon. 🙂
