Meet Sandra, our fearless captain who just led Uganda to victory in the African Rising Stars series.
Three years ago she was out there playing barefoot, chasing the dream with nothing but a baseball heart.
A pitcher/ shortstop, she was the fastest arm in the series (72mph), fewest runs allowed in. Crushing balls at the plate with commanding swings, playing elite shortstop, and still guided her team as captain to win the series over South Africa.
Sandra, your journey is proof that dreams really do come true when you refuse to quit.
We are so proud of you. The big leagues are soon calling. And we know you will answer.

Meet Hadijah Mirembe, jersey #22, our RBI queen from the African Rising Stars series.
She led the series with the most RBIs and in Game 4 she had everyone on their feet: bases loaded, she crushed one deep to the right field , used her speed on the bases, and came this close to an inside the park home run.
Hadijah, you’re something special. We’re so proud and can’t wait to watch what you do next. The future is bright.

To our dear Family, Friends, Supporters, and Donors,
We just want to take a moment and say thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
The African Rising Stars U15 Women’s Baseball Series happened because of you.
Without your donations, your belief in these girls, and your support, we wouldn’t have been able to make this happen.
Every single contribution, big or small made a difference.
You didn’t just help us pay bills. You gave these young queens confidence, opportunity, and the chance to prove what they’re capable of.
We’re so grateful for each one of you.
Your support changed lives, built memories, and opened doors we couldn’t have opened alone.
From all of us at Baseball At Heart, the coaches, staff, and especially our incredible players.
We say Thank you

These girls played hard, picking each other up, and showing everyone exactly why we pour our hearts into growing the game, lifting up young women, and prove what’s possible right here in Africa.
Big love and respect to both teams for creating something special and making history side by side. 🇺🇬🇿🇦
