Earlier today, regional cross-country championships were successfully held in districts including Kapchorwa, Jinja, Arua, and Kabale. These events paved the way for the national cross-country championships, scheduled for February 8th in Tororo District.

The upcoming major event, the National Cross Country Championships, will take place on February 8th in Tororo. To take part in this thrilling competition, online registration is required, and the registration link will be provided shortly. Stay tuned!

Ugandan long-distance star Joshua Cheptegei, through his NN Running Team, has officially confirmed his participation in the 2025 Tokyo Marathon, set for March 2.

This event signifies a pivotal shift for the reigning 10,000m world champion as he transitions from excelling on the track to taking on the challenge of road racing.

The third Discovery Run is happening in Kapchorwa, bringing together participants of all ages. Driven by Jacob Kiplimo, this remarkable event highlights talent and strengthens community bonds in Uganda's iconic running region.

Ugandan athletics shines as a beacon of inspiration worldwide! As we commemorate 100 years of the Uganda Athletics Federation, we honor the determination, talent, and spirit that have established Uganda as a global sporting powerhouse.

We held a press conference at the UAF office to reflect on the incredible achievements of 2024 and unveil our ambitious plans for 2025. This year is extra special as we celebrate 100 years of athletics in Uganda with a series of exciting activities planned to mark this historic milestone! 🎉

Starting next week, non-residential training camps will roll out across the country, running for two weeks (with some lasting even longer). These camps will take place in Bombo, Kabale, Kabarole, Pece-Gulu, Arua, Amudat, Bukwo, Soroti, Kakira (Busoga region), Namboole, Tororo, and Kitgum.
