Members of parliament belonging to the main armed opposition Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO) have vowed to continue the parliamentary boycott over what they call manipulation of bills by the SPLM-nominated speaker of parliament serving under the leadership of Kiir. The lawmakers from the main armed opposition group said they will continue the boycott because the speaker has turned a deaf hear to them after writing several letters expressing grievances. The opposition however remain united despite attempts by government to silence the opposition in South Sudan.
