Court ruling restores hope to car importers Importing a used car might just have gotten cheaper. When Uganda Revenue Authority instituted a new tax assessment scheme for imported cars – in the process raising the taxes one would have to pay on the car – importers went up in arms. Their pleas to have URA rescind the decision fell flat.
