Obituary for Austin Reece Haynie | Harris Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Abbeville, SC

We have lost one of the original members of the Abbeville Panthers Fishing Team. Austin loved fishing and loved being part of the team. It was always a pleasure to have Austin as one of the anglers in your boat. You could tell that he was very passionate about fishing, and that he really had a lot of fun doing it. We are grateful to Austin's family for being gracious enough to ask that any memorials, given in his memory, be given to the Abbeville Panthers Fishing Team. I think that Austin would be proud of this. Please take time to pray for the family. Pray for peace for them and also that there faith stays strong. RIP Austin. You will be missed. Austin Reece Haynie, 22, of Abbeville, died Saturday, December 2, 2017. He was born in Anderson to Tim and Angie Campbell Haynie. Austin was a 2014 graduate of Abbeville High School where he was a member of the AHS Fishing Team. He was currently employed as an electrical technician...

PBC High School Tournament Trail

Blast off order is posted for tomorrow.

** Important information - Please read.

- A member of each team must check in at the tournament trailer prior to blast off to receive your boat number key float and your briefing sheet.

- The gates at the state park open at 4:30 am. There will be volunteers directing traffic in the park.

- There is going to be a HUGE crowd. Be patient with our volunteers as well as other competitors when launching, approaching the docks, and during blast off.

- If you launch at an alternate ramp and come by water, you will need to send a team member up to the trailer to check in and pick up your key float.

- Stage by boat number & flight on the Yellow, Red, Blue, or Green flashing lights as instructed. This keeps everyone spread out and helps blast off move smoothly.

- Staging Plan for Lake Russell:

Blue - Flights 7-9, Boats 180 - 250

Trail Change Highlights:
• New Lake – Wylie in October
• All anglers must be members of BASS.
• Anglers must declare for the high school division or the middle school division.
• On tournament day, High school teams will blast off first, followed immediately by the middle school teams. Middle school teams will weigh in at 1:30.
• Lake will be off limits the entire week of the tournament. There will be no official practice day on Friday before the event.
• The two-day Classic will be included in the AOY & School of the Year calculations, and will be a double points event.

These three teams had an awesome week of fishing, they may not have won first place but I can bet they fished just as hard if not harder than any of the teams out there. They represented their schools and state very well. Some will have a chance to go back others will only have the memories to look back at what they did, it's been an awesome journey. A big thanks to all who had a part in this journey, these kids will never forget it!!!
