Reality on the Flipside... Word.
For someone who is thinking about yoga, especially as a beginner, it can be intimidating. I have first hand experience with this because that's how I felt after I had my daughter. I didn't quite understand yoga, the poses, what they meant, how was I supposed to feel during the poses...the list goes on of the thoughts that I had. Then I went to school and I learned so much...and I want to give back the knowledge I have experienced.
I have such a hard time trying to figure out something I like to eat that is healthy. My go-to is WaWa. I looked around one day for a good sandwich. This took awhile. I found something that caught my eye-a veggie sandwich! I read ingredients and it sounded good! Well it tasted great-to my pallet. I have been making it at home almost everyday for lunch. Love it!!

[03/11/18] I have realized something today-meal prep is not for everyone. I simply can’t do it. #1 I’m on a serious fixed budget for food for the entire family #2 I won’t make different dinners for everyone-I don’t have the time. I have a hard enough time trying to find a dinner everyone will eat #3 I can’t eat what is suggested to eat (and the rest is kinda gross)...and there are a few more reasons. So what I have been doing is trying to find what we ALL can eat, try recipes and keep what we like (plus it all needs to be on sale or have a coupon) #fittricks
If you have had two kids or more I would like you to try this...
1- lay down flat (can be on bed, couch or floor)
2- take 3 fingers and push them into your belly button. (Yes I'm sayin this)
3-do a crunch (lifting your head and shoulders up)
4-what did you feel around or on your fingers???
IF you feel the muscles crunch around your fingers you have disatisis recti
If you feel your abs come up-your good.
I have disatisis recti and I have been trying my hardest to find a way to fix this (non-surgical) and it has been hard. Please post/inbox/msngr if you have it. I would love for you to try a few workouts and see if they work for you. Some work and some don't. I've done a lot research and need feedback. For no other reason then to fix this...
After two years of attempting to lose my belly I have in fact went to the doctors to confirm that I have completely open diastasis recti. 98% of women have this.
Diastasis Recti is a condition of the abdominal muscles that can occur after pregnancy. Find out how to know if you have it and what to do.
thebettyrocker.com A fully stocked fridge with food you actually want to eat is a beautiful thing. In fact, I think that cooking and doing food preparation is one …
What food item do you always buy and then throw out?
draxe.com If you answer yes to 3 or more of these things, it's time to take a serious look at your protein intake.

[10/14/15] Getting back on track....again!!! YAY!! I am so guilty of falling into the craziness in life and forgetting what I want to do and what I want to accomplish. With that being said, I need to be held accountable. I need to learn this for myself. I let too many things slide. I'm going to be working out in my yard...if you want to come, please do so. I think if I assume someone will come it will light a fire under my bum to get up, go outside and workout...I miss my yoga so much!!
[08/17/15] 8 weeks since little man has arrived. Got the OK from doctor, I'm ready to start moving!!! I usually never weigh myself but to let you know I'm starting at 188 lbs. My only goal is gain some muscle back, get my stamina back; and how I usually track my progress is how I feel in my own skin. Also this time around I want to fit into some of my clothes 😏😁
[07/10/15] I am back at the beginning with flexibility. It was a bit difficult doing basic sun salutations...I definitely have to reconnect with my body again. My mind, well...I put in full attempt at meditation to only, fall asleep. Today I did a few squats while doing chores, and a few stretches in between. Not much today...but I have a half cleaned house. All positives!!! Keep moving
[07/07/15] It has been a long time since I posted. Little Ian is here and I am ready to start my yoga from scratch!! I will be posting about my first sun salutation/SURYA NAMASKAR practice and my first re-attempt of meditation.
