CrossFit Rails is located in Aberdeen, SD and is Aberdeen's first official CrossFit box. We opened our doors February 2015 in hopes to give the community a chance to experience what CrossFit is all about.
CrossFit Rails is affiliated through the Aberdeen Family YMCA and we are proudly the one and ONLY Box located in Aberdeen, SD. Through our team, our mission is ultimately to provide the best overall workout experience we can while maintaining safety and intensity in every workout.

A new year and a new chance to join our evening Amped class! We are now offering a 3rd night option which will cover all things related to a healthy lifestyle! Topics included are nutrition, physical & mental health, accountability, SMART goal setting and other tips to help you become the best version of yourself in 2021! Sunday session will be led by Kristi Myhre (CrossFit Coach, degree in Psychology and 20 years of experience working in the Human Services field) and Kristina Kessler (Certified Personal Trainer, CrossFit Coach, Fitness Nutrition Specialist) who have a combined 18 years of experience working in the health & fitness world! Join us for the extra Sunday session every week In January and let us help you start the new year off with a bang!

These young men took 2nd place in a close 5 to 6 championship match. This is the 2nd year The Stingers have trained with Advantage program. They are undoubtedly Stronger, Faster, and more prepared for there sports. Meet Sam. 6 weeks ago Sam told me he couldnât do a pull-up. I corrected him said yes you can. We worked on Samâs pull-ups once a week. Today he completed 7 sets of 4 pull-ups. Sam hasnât just grown in strength and conditioning in the last 6 weeks. More importantly Sam has become mentally tough, determined, empowered. There is nothing better than watching people do more than they thought they could. Great Job Sam see you Monday.

Just a friendly reminder to be drinking extra water on these hot, hot days! Your body is only able to sweat & cool itself if you are hydrated. When not enough water is consumed, your body is not able to properly cool itself down causing the core temperature to rise. This can lead to dizziness, nausea, muscle cramps & fatigue. If you start to experience any of these symptoms, please let a Coach know right away!

We are pretty excited about our new challenge starting on Monday! June is going to be the month of running/walking. If you want to participate, pick up this form from the gym and start chipping away at these boxes. You have 30 days to complete everything on this sheet and if you do, you can turn it in to be entered in a drawing for Kesslerâs gift cards. All miles can be run or walked. Amped is BACK! Both the AM & PM classes will start on June 1st. In compliance with the CDC guidelines, classes will be capped in order to maintain enough space between participants. You can sign up online through the YMCA website! DM us with any questions!

Also, we are holding âmake upâ days next week for the classes missed last session. They are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday night from 6:30-7:15 and Wednesday at 11:15. You can sign up for these online! We canât wait to get #ampedup with you guys!
The gym is officially re-opening! Woohoo! We have made some (temporary) changes to the class format and schedule to accommodate the CDC guidelines. Classes are limited to 10 people so please sign up on Wodify in advance. We have added additional times to allow for everyone to make it to a class. One of our favorite events of the year is coming up! The annual Memorial Day Murph workout is at the end of May.
