A Click-Stand is a folding portable bicycle kickstand. Each one is custom made...... by me, Tom.
Phase 2. Set up base camp at the edge of Glacier National Park. Actually it was the Firebrand Hotel in Whitefish, but we did leave the windows open at night.
Phase 1; get thee to Idaho.
Kathleen sent this picture of her All City Gorilla Monsoon touring bike. I really like the paint job. Do you recognize the city skyline in the background? I do.
A peaceful spring picture; near Brenham, Texas by Don.
This is Lou's lovely Thorn Nomad; the picture was taken at Topsham, Exeter, overlooking the Exe Estuary, Devon. I love the names or English places. Her red & black striped Click-Stand is a hint of Lou's fun side, don't you think?
This, boys & girls, is Steve's brand new Cinelli.
Pawel from Warsaw has built up this Trek backpacker. I can't look at this without wishing I were there and that was my bike. Thanks Pawel.
I love this picture. Here are Matilda & Peyman. They were excited to find this bike path outside Karlsruhe, Germany on their tour. Or maybe it was the Click-Stands.
Daniele in the Sierra Norte of Oaxaca, Mexico.
Fredrika the author!
Over the moon to finally tell you - the book is coming! ❤️ What happens when a young girl leaves home to take on the world on a bicycle? These are the stories, photos & behind the scenes of what actually went down during my years on the road. The past 6 months have been all about making this happen. In only 6 weeks - it's finally here. Deserts are nothing. This is easily one of the scariest things I ever did. 'Around the World in 1000 Days' will launch in Swedish & English and I can't wait for you to see it 🐣
Doug's Titanium Habanero outside the Goodyear Blimp Base in Pompano Beach, FL.......... Nice!
This from my Italian friends pedaling south. In the background is Colima, one of Mexico's active volcanoes!
Vitoria is a very serious cyclist. The first picture is on the Three Gap climb in Dahlonega, Georgia, and the second is her new Habanero. Go Victoria!
It's picture time! This is Traci's Rans, with a splash of green.
Julien's Surly LHT near Bordeaux.
This is Bee Happy, Art & Miriam's beautiful Co-Motion tandem, frolicking at a Florida beach.
Underneath all of this carefully thought out gear is Ed's Surly Troll. Ed, from Santa Fe, NM, recently pedaled the Great Divide Route, which is a monumental feat. I tip my cycling cap to Ed.
And now for bikes with Click-Stands, surprise, surprise. This is Andrews Da Vinci tandem. Da Vinci tandems are unique in that either rider can coast independently.
The beast restrained on the Bremerton Ferry.
Okay, Dorothy, we aren’t in Montana anymore.
Of all the irony. We left Glacier yesterday and pedaled off to Whitefish. Today at breakfast in the front page of a local newspaper; “The Going to the Sun Toad Reopens”.
I was gobsmacked. No one could make this stuff up. Going to the Sun, we will be back. In the mean time, if I can’t climb it, I’ll drink it.
The Whitefish Amtrak Station in the background.
Our goal was to pedal to Glacier National Park, and climb the Going to the Sun. Half of that is now in the books. We made it to West Glacier yesterday. Unfortunately the great road is closed because of fires. We knew this was a possibility.
They keep mentioning bears around here. I have my bear spray handy. Tomorrow we reach our goal, Glacier National Park.
The Clearwater River in Nez Perce country.
I haven’t reported in for a while. We are at a breakfast stop in Kooskia, Idaho. We are camping tonight then pedaling Lolo Pass tomorrow. Inching our way to Glacier are we.
Sunrise on the Palouse.
Isn’t this spectacular? This multicolored Centaur was made as rolling artwork for Burning Man by Jon & Cara. As you would expect there is a Click-Stand in the picture. I’ll share a video that they took of the Centaur in motion. Jon & Cara I am delighted
We’ve made it to Dayton, WA. Dayton is a very stylish town. This is their court house.
Troll break, the only shade to be found.
The Columbia River Country Store in Roosevelt. Our spot for dinner & breakfast, very tasty. The campground here is free, and has free hot showers!!!
Following the Columbia, just past Hood River. Brilliant morning ride.
From Vista House, high above the Columbia.
So you won’t think it has all been sunshine and roses. This is us hiding from the rain & drying out the next morning.
The ACA route through NE Portland from the St. John’s BridgE to Troutdale is brilliant. We put in a perfect 45 miles, and ended up at McMenamins. Cheers.
Bradley Hill overlook, near Westport, Oregon.
A bit insulting. Our first stop; 10 miles in, 1190 to go.
As long as you're still pedaling Jody.
This wonderful picture was sent to me by Jody from Louisville, Kentucky. It is a custom tandem by Alex Meade.
Morry and Janice sent this picture from their summer tour. The Vermilion Lakes in Banff National Park are in the background; Kayuh, their dog, rides in the first trailer.
This is Paul's Thorn Nomad, with West-Tershelling, Netherlands in the background.
This is David's Kona Sutra outside the Horsham Museum in Horsham, West Sussex, in South East England. Nice looking touring bike David.
This is Neil's very loaded Thorn Raven Twin. That's a tandem with an Extrawheel trailer.
This is Bill from Drexel Hill, PA and his tour ready Surly. You can check out his solar charging panel in the third picture. Thanks, Bill.
We live five blocks off of the Pacific Coast cycling route. Every once in a while someone stops by to pick up their Click-Stand order. This is Ed, who hails from Cardiff in Wales.
