Texas Elite 16U

Diamond Fury went 3-2 over this past weekend, 3-1 in our pool which included two National teams and 1 Gold. DFE played some decent ball but the bats never quite came alive, not like they normally do. Not a bad showing for a WTX team competing with the big dogs.

Less than a week away!

Diamond Fury Elite 2025 will be having private tryouts to fill out our roster for the fall and spring season. We are in search of Class A players that are willing to travel and play a competitive schedule.

We will be playing the Ronald McDonald Showcase 14U “Invitation Only” portion on Oct 15-17. Over 30 College coaches confirmed to attend and counting! We need girls and families committed to playing Friday morning in Houston. If your kid is interested in playing at the next level contact Coach Rene to set up a private tryout.

DFE 2025 finished our season at The USA Elite Select World Fastpitch Championship in Kansas City, Missouri. We finished 17th out of almost 80 teams, and at no point were we ever outmatched! We went in to this tournament with one leg missing having Greysen and Audrey out. Going halfway into our fourth game, we lost 1 of our 2 bracket pitchers to an injury. Found out later that day she was out for the entirety of the tournament. Had our 3rd baseman who hasn’t pitched since December, (and barely going to 7th grade) step in and pitch a dang good game but we couldn’t put up enough runs to get the W. All in all, we represented WTX well and showed everyone we belonged there!

DFE 2025 will be making the trip to Missouri for Worlds this coming week! All our games will be broadcast via DFE’s page.

DFE 2025 took 1st place at the Goliath this past weekend in Lubbock. DFE decided last minute to jump in this tournament to get some practice in before Worlds. After playing 18U last weekend it took some adjusting for the girls to get their hitting going against slower pitching but the adjustments started to show Saturday and we strung together 8 wins before the tournament was canceled due to the rain.

DFE 2025 played the USA 18U State Tournament this weekend and placed 3rd. Played some good ball this weekend against older girls and not once were we ever out of our league! Had several coaches and people tell us we were team to beat! IN 18U!!! Which is a huge compliment coming from people coaching or having kids 2 age divisions up from us, unfortunately though we ran out of gas Sunday afternoon and fell short!

Being first year 14U we are more concerned with competition than winning, I’m trying to get these girls ready for the next level and winning the lower age group wouldn’t have helped my girls grow. So don’t be surprised if you see DFE playing more 16U and 18U in the near future.
