Professional race team helping drivers chase their dreams. Kres VanDyke is a NASCAR Whelen All-American Series race car driver from Abingdon, VA.
Kres began racing in 1998 at Lonesome Pine Raceway in Coeburn, VA, driving a Mini Stock at the age of 16, and won the Mini Stock championship in 2000 with a total of 15 wins. In 2001, Kres began racing Late Model Stock Cars, finishing third in final point standings and as runner-up in 2002 at Kingsport Speedway. Tough break for Jake and the crew last weekend at the CARS Tour Season Opener at Southern National.
We qualified 8th and wasted no time moving forward, racing our way up to 3rd by lap 20. A competition caution on lap 45 put us on the front row outside for the restart — but that’s when things took a turn. The gear shifter broke, forcing Jake to bring the car to pit road.
The crew worked quickly and got him back out using a vice grip, but unfortunately we lost too many laps in the process. Jake laid down fast laps the rest of the race, but we were too far behind to make up any ground.
We’ll head back to the shop, regroup, and get ready for the next CARS Tour race at Wake County.

We’re back at the track today with Jake Bollman Racing competing in the season opener CARS Tour Folsom Fence Supply 125 at Southern National Speedway!
Racing starts at 4:00 PM, and if you can’t be there in person, you can watch it all live on FloRacing.

🔥UPDATE:
After official results have been released from the track, we have been awarded P3 place finish! You can find out more information at Short Track SCENE
P4 finish in the Icebreaker at Florence Motor Speedway
Took the lead early and led most of the race. A late caution changed everything — lost a couple spots on the restart, a little contact in 3 & 4 on the final lap put us back to 4th.
Proud of Jake Bollman Racing and the team, great effort and we’ll build on it.
Next up CARS Tour season opener at Southern National Motorsports Park
