Payton put together an outstanding season and earned recognition as one of the top players in the league. She is also a contributing starter on her team, impacting the game on both ends of the floor.
To accomplish this as a freshman is a huge achievement.
Competing at that level, earning that respect, and carving out a real role this early says everything about how prepared she was for her high school season.
