Modern Barre is a boutique fitness studio located at West Acton Villageworks that offers a variety of barre and cardio classes for clients of all levels.
Modern Barre classes are full body, low impact workouts inspired by the foundations of ballet, Pilates, yoga, and meditation. Our mission is to create a supportive environment that leaves clients feeling healthy, centered, and inspired. The Modern Barre Approach offers an effective and sustainable workout that will strengthen, lengthen, and tone the entire body and balance the mind. Classes utilize the ballet barre, light resistance, and body weight exercises to increase total body strength with minimal stress on joints. No dance experience is required and clients of all ages and fitness levels will benefit from this safe, yet challenging workout. Each class is set to upbeat music and ends with a calming lavender oil cooldown to leave clients feeling grounded and refreshed. Modern Barre has been recognized as an industry leader by numerous media outlets, including the Improper Bostonian Magazine, Well & Good, and WCVB's award winning show Chronicle.
