He definitely acted like he had done it a time or two before.

Always hustle and know how many outs there are at all times.

1. I didn’t realize Pete Rose was charged with s*x crimes against minors. To be clear I do not condone that type of behavior.
2. I don’t think he should have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. Every player that has ever walked into a professional baseball clubhouse has seen the notice about gambling on the wall.
3. Yes, I referred to him as “this guy”…dry, witty sense of humor towards the all time hit leader.
4. Baseball should be played with emotion and passion in the context of the long grind of a season. There are many highs and lows during a season. Maintaining an even keel sets players up for the long journey of winning championships not momentary blips of success along the way.
5. Yes, baseball in and of itself is entertaining. The Savannah Bananas are also entertaining. I just believe they should stay two separate products.

Why kids roll over and hit weak ground balls.
They never learn how to hit against a firm front side.
So everything leaks forward.
The barrel dumps early.
And that usually leads to weak ground balls and roll overs.
A strong front side gives the barrel something to work around.
That’s where you create separation, rotation, and real bat speed.
Most hitters don’t need more swings.
They need a better movement pattern.

This one movement pattern will help player stop rolling over in games.
When you hit off the tee try to drive your backside knee down towards the ground.
A common mistake is that hitters lift out of their back leg causing them to pull off the ball and roll over.
Train specific movement patterns when you hit off tee.
