The best coach and training program in the world is useless if you don't buy in
Consistency is the king of all. That's why there's 60+ year old people in your local ymca that are fit. Lets be honest, you see what they do, and we can both agree it seems sub optimal (at best) and yet they are fit. Why?
Because they've been consistent for years and years.
6 weeks challenges are bull crap to get you hooked, I can get behind that part. It's not to get you fit for life. It's to jump start the habit and to try to start a consistent base. But if you stop what happens?
Stop chasing better systems and fancy fad diets and get fit quick challenges. Build a life style. Make movement a necessary part of your life and never stop.

Everyone loves the aesthetic of a weighted vest and the "hero" narrative. But let’s be honest: Murph isn't a photoshoot. It’s 2 miles of running, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, and 300 squats. If you show up unprepared, it’s not "heroic"—it’s a recipe for ruining yourself for the next two weeks.
In this business, we know the difference between "doing it for the ‘gram" and doing it for the longevity.
We want you to crush the workout, sure. But more importantly, we want you to be able to sit down on the toilet and pick up your kids on Monday morning without making a sound like a rusty hinge.
The Details:
What: Free Murph Prep Drop-ins
When: Every Saturday morning 8 and 9am
Why: Because "just winging it" is a great way to meet Dr. Leali in the treatment office.
We aren’t training for a podium; we’re training to be capable humans who don't break under pressure.
Come get the work in.

The "Athlete" Illusion vs. The ADL Reality
Everyone dreams of training the 1%—the highlight reels, the explosive dunks, and the gold medals. It looks great on a grid, and it’s easy to sell.
But here’s the truth: The real championship isn't won on a podium.
In the actual business of fitness, the highest stakes aren't shaving a millisecond off a sprint; they’re ensuring a client can still get out of a chair without assistance in ten years.
We talk about "performance," but for most of our clients, performance means:
The mobility to reach the top shelf.
The stability to avoid a life-altering fall.
The strength to carry their own groceries.
We aren't just "coaches"; we are preservationists. We are fighting a daily war against the loss of ADLs (Activities of Daily Living). It’s not always glamorous, it doesn’t always make for a viral transition video, and it won't get us a shoe deal.
But when you realize that fitness is the difference between someone keeping their independence or losing it, you stop looking for the athletes and start looking for the people who actually need you.
The goal isn't to live forever. It's to live fully while you're here.
The only thing standing between you and your goals is… well, usually just the floor. So push off it!
🦾 Most people see a challenge; I see a launchpad. It’s not about how many times you fall, it’s about how much airtime you get on the way back up. Let’s stop making excuses and start making moves—even if those moves involve defying common sense.
Do the games turn people away from CrossFit?
I vehemently disagree with that statement. And if you look at the landscape of fitness capabilities it has nothing but improve since the invention of the
Here's a great quote from the movie Coach Carter
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other
people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of
God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.”

Give it a shot
This is the whole problem with the barriers of entry to CrossFit.
The games are cool, regionals were cool, watching guys like and at legends is awesome and would motivate people to start a fitness journey.
And yet, the media sucks. The hype sucks and the viewership shows it.
Its not about being a games athlete. Its about fighting ageing and keeping as much capability as possible. But if you dont lean into the things that grab more people it will fizzle and die. And then you help no one....
Food for thought
Give this one a try if you are working on your rope climb under fatigue.
This will force some technique as the arms burn out....
But be cautious to pace more than you think
Consistency is king 🤴
If you have the greatest coach and programmer in the world but dont do any of it, then its not going to give good results.
So whats the problem?
Is it an enjoyment, communication, or goals issue. Because sometimes the things that a client wants aren't clearly expressed from a program regardless of the quality of person who writes it.
I don't even dare say motivation. If this is the case then you should hire a cheerleader or bootcamp instructor and not a coach.
Find something you will do, and stick to it. And for more than 6 weeks.
That is all.
Cheers
