The FHC Rowing Team is one of the leading high school rowing programs in the state of Michigan. The FHC Crew Club began in 1995 with 7 boys.

We traveled in the LeBlanc family van with 4 oars strapped to the roof (the only equipment we owned!) and any boat we could borrow at the regattas. In 1996 girls joined the team and the program has continued to grow and prosper ever since. We now average between 80 and 90 members per year.

It’s summer. School is out. There are no required practices.

And yet... they’re here.

Morning after morning, Forest Hills Central Crew athletes choose to show up for Open Boathouse. They give up sleeping in, hanging out with friends, and lazy summer mornings because they know that success isn’t built when someone is making you do the work—it’s built when no one has to.

Every stroke, every practice, every early morning is an investment in the season ahead. That’s what dedication looks like. That’s what this team is made of.
Proud of these athletes for choosing hard work, even when no one is taking attendance. 💙🚣

Gravel Bottom Brewery has shown us support year after year. This donation helped us repair an outboard motor for one of our safety launch boats, so coaches can keep a close eye on our athletes during practice.

The power of the right part! Maintaining our boat equipment is no small feat, and sometimes we have to get creative with older boats. We appreciate District Fabrication for making us a custom skegs to keep our boats going straight down the course.

Many thanks to Michael Hogan! Even though not a current parent, was able to donate a fabricated Skeg for a boat with a manufacturer that went out of business.

Many thanks to Ben Look & rower Wyatt Look.
