Update from our morning- the girls and the horses were on fire🔥!

Lily took Rio into the ring for his first real show, ever!! And they won their class!!

Kayla Stovall ride Hershey with a lovely ride and got 2nd place!

Following, Kayla rickmon and Alex went into academy show rider and rode beautifully!

Layla then successfully rode Rio bringing in a beautiful 2nd place and her own Blue, first place ribbon on her own horse at their first show together in a big academy class of 10!

Addie rode Dolly in a big class of 7 and got 3rd and 4th with major personal growth!

Next tonight we have Kayla Stovall and Kayla Rickmon showing back in their championship classes.

Last night we had a great time after the rain cleared up! Christy and Hershey won their class! It has been over 2 years since Christy has gone in the ring. - Kayla R. Had a great ride on Vegas and planning to come back stronger tonight. They got second place!

Good luck to everyone!

This morning we have Lily and Kayla S. and our academy riders to follow!

We’d like to welcome Kayla Rickmon to our Bay View barn family! Kayla is no stranger to the horse world or show ring. She’ll be joining us at our next horse show in Dallas!

Rio enjoyed a morning roll after clearing the field with the bush hog- meanwhile, Beauty and Solo just wanted to eat.

Watching the transformation of this filly has been so much fun this past month! This tall 3 year old is feeling herself and loving her life and job these days.

[08/05/20]   From Carpe Diem Equestrian-

“Parents, let your daughters grow up to be horse girls, because they will learn quickly and repeatedly that life isn’t fair, that hard work is often trumped by Lady Luck, and that every defeat, no matter how terrible, is temporary. Let them dream big and kick on. Let them learn confidence, grace and grit. Let them build big muscles and strong backs.

Let your daughters grow up in the barn. Let them learn that buckets need filling and stalls need cleaning, even when it’s raining, even when it’s frozen, even when they have a different idea for how the day should go.

Teach them to drive trucks and trailers and ATVs. Teach them to change tires and wrap legs and give shots. And let them leave a spur mark, or a bit rub, or a bandage bow, and let them deal with the shame of causing pain to an animal they love.

Let them grow up with horses and with good horse people, because it will teach them to be humble, and to be resilient, and to be brave.”

The remainder of our time in Asheville was a bit of whirlwind! The rest of our riders rode beautifully! We had new teams this show, old teams, new methods. Our results were wonderful!

In other news; Boomer is currently spending some time at the Tryon Equine Hospital- currently things are on the up and up, but, if everyone could, please continue to keep Boomer in your thoughts and prayers!!

We are enjoying our time in Asheville! 3 of our girls rode this morning and it was 3 of their personal best rides to date!

We had Lily and Boomer first this morning in the juvenile show pleasure class. They placed 5th out of a field of 8 lovely horses!

Alex and Coco were up in the 5 - gaited show pleasure class. Coco has had some time off and she absolutely showed up to perform this morning! Alex and coco were such a blast to watch. We did not place in a deep class of 12 riders, but we had so much fun watching and cheering this team on!

The last to show this morning was Kayla. This was Kayla’s performance debut! On a horse she’s only been on a handful of times. Some nerves were had as we started. By the time Kayla and Hershey reversed they had collected themselves together and made one heck of a team!! Kayla took a 3rd place ribbon out of 8!! We are so incredibly proud of this new duo.

Tonight we have Alex, Lily and Kim showing!

[03/18/20]   Hi everyone. We have spent the last three days weighing our options and contemplating what to do. Due to the virus, We have decided to close the barn down temporarily. We will not be having lessons for the next two weeks. We will re-open ASAP. Barn work will still be done, and the horses will continue to be worked. We apologize for any inconvenience this will bring for anyone. Our main focus is to keep everyone and their families as safe as we possibly can. Hopefully we will be back in action in two weeks. 🤞🏼

See you at the barn!
