Date and Time: Saturday May 25th at 10:00AM – followed by Tyson Call’s farewell BBQ!

“Murph” is a hero WOD performed in honor of Lt. Michael Murphy, a Navy SEAL who was killed in Afghanistan in 2005. “Murph” consists of a 1-mile run, 100 pull ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats, followed by a 1-mile run, and has been called the ultimate test of cardio endurance, body weight strength, and sheer mental fortitude.

We welcome athletes to bring friends and family members to participate. Bing your own meat to grill and your favorite side to share.

Officer Cody Call to the rescue! Now that's the embodiment of CrossFit 💪

Sometimes our deputies are lucky enough to be able to help out the more "wild" members of our community. Deputy Call assisted Wyoming Game and Fish with reuniting a calf moose and its mother this evening. The calf was separated from its mother when they tried to swim across the Snake River in the area of Highway 22. The calf was reunited with its mother thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Wyoming Game and Fish Wardens that responded. As a reminder; please don't approach wildlife, especially young wildlife as its stressful for them and dangerous for you!

Sometimes athletes surprise themselves by blowing past their current maxes. Well, yesterday Ginae was no exception -- she camber bar box squatted 138kg -- over 304lbs!!! Not only is she becoming a fantastic Olympic lifter, she is getting super strong!! Blake is also certified through The United States Powerlifting Association (USPA) and holds a Westside Barbell Special Strengths Certificate. 💪🏽 Kelli is preparing to compete as an athlete at USPA Nationals in July, and Worlds in Nov, and is furthering her coaching and powerlifting knowledge. 😊

Just tonight they saw Halli's buddy Coach Zigmut, head weightlifting coach at the Colorado Springs Olympic training center, and met 3 time Olympic gold medalist/3 time world champion weightlifter Pyrros Dimas! We lifted 440,800Kilo or 971,964lbs!
The most attended day was Monday
The most PR'd lift was the high hang power snatch
The lift we performed most often was the back squat, with Kyle Steed's lift of 210K/463lbs topping the charts!
Timothy Allred Sandra Sanderson, Elizabeth Gieck & Kyle Steed attended the most classes
Chris Allred, Bridger Vandeburg, Cory Frome & Chantel Steed had the most PR'd lifts
It was a year full of sweat, music, cheering, laughter, groaning, high fives and many, many accomplishments. We're so proud of every one of our members, and we look forward to a strong, fit and healthy 2016!

General information

CrossFit Star Valley uses an “evidence-based fitness” program that incorporates CUSTOM programing using the CrossFit methodology. This method is incredibly effective at burning fat and building muscle. Unlike most CrossFit Gyms, we also incorporate a thorough Strength and Conditioning program, and our coaches are certified in USA Weightlifting, Sports Performance Training, Funtional Movement Systems (FMS Level 2,) CrossFit Football, and Westside Barbell powerlifting. Our head coach works with many top professionals in the fitness world to constantly improve our program. We emphasize form and safety as we perform constantly varied, functional movements at high intensity, giving you a comprehensive full-body workout. Classes are instructor-led, with a max of 6 people per class, which provides an excellent mixture of individual coaching and group motivation. Some movements will be familiar and many will be new, but you will always be challenged to achieve optimal fitness. Anyone can excel at CrossFit, and everyone who is committed will. It will change your life and how you view health and fitness. You will never be expected to lift weights beyond your fitness level or perform movements beyond your skill set. However, you will always be coached, encouraged, and challenged to improve your performance and test your ability, therefore improving the overall quality of your life.
