TONIGHT: Show off your camp cooking skills 👩🏽‍🍳

At tonight’s weekly meeting, we’re sharing our best backcountry desserts. Come show off your cooking skills or be a taste tester and get some new ideas for your next trip.

Here are the guidelines: It’s day three of a wilderness backpacking or canoe/kayak camping trip. Recipes should be appropriate for the backcountry, take 20 minutes or less to prepare, and require only a single-burner stove. You must bring all your own supplies: stove, ingredients, utensils, etc.

Join us at 7:00pm on July 14th — Como Park west picnic grounds, near the bathroom building.

Join us in Whitewater State Park this fall, for our semi-annual Rovers Extravaganza!

This year’s extravaganza will be the weekend of October 1st-4th, 2026. It will be a fun-filled weekend of camping, hiking, biking, rock climbing, paddling, and more. No need to be a Rovers member for this trip, so come check us out and enjoy the fresh fall air.

The presentation for tonight (6/10) is being changed to "S'mores and Camping Hacks." (Tanner is sick and can't present on lichen.), Instead of learning about lichen, however, we will start a propane fire pit and roast marshmallows for S'mores while exchanging Camping Hacks. We'll move to Gabe's afterwards. Hope to see you there!
