Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley

GREAT FUTURES START HERE!

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley is a non-profit organization that provides time-tested programs offering leadership training, character development, fine arts, academic support, technology, health and fitness. Our Clubs feature Learning Centers, Games Rooms, Computer Technology Centers, Fine Arts Rooms, Multi-Purpose Rooms, and Character and Leadership Centers. Why We're Special! Four key characteristics define the essence of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Conejo & Las Virgenes. All are critical in exerting a positive impact on the life of a child: 1. A Dedicated Youth Facility Our Clubs are an actual neighborhood-based building – designed for middle-school youth programs and activities. 2. Open Daily Our Clubs are open every day, during the Summer and before and after school when kids have free time and need positive, productive outlets. 3. Professional Staff Our Clubs have full-time, trained youth development professionals, providing positive role models and mentors. Volunteers provide key supplementary support. 4. Affordable to All Youth Scholarships are available to ensure every child can participate.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley currently have five Clubs operating in Thousand Oaks at Los Cerritos Middle School, which opened in January 2004, Colina Middle School, which opened its doors in June 2007 and Redwood Middle School, which opened its doors in August 2007. In addition, we operate a Club on the campus of Sequoia Middle School in Newbury Park which opened its doors in August 2007. Our newest addition includes Club Chaparral on the campus of Chaparral Elementary in Calabasas, which opened their doors in August 2009. Our Clubs are located on middle school campuses on a long-term lease and joint use agreement with school districts. There are plans to open additional facilities on middle school campuses throughout the Calabasas, Agoura Hills, Oak Park, Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks areas in the next few years. The Clubs provide time-tested programs that offer leadership training and character development programs, as well as programs in the arts, technology, sports, and health and fitness.

Mission: Enhance the lives of young people and their families by providing a positive environment that cultivates academic success, character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.
