Thanks for starting the advanced class. The current time of 11:30 is not good for a Sunday class (in my opinion). It would be great if it would be at 8 AM, then we can learn advanced skills, then take the 9:15 class to execute some of them after a good cardio start. Not sure how everyone else feels about it. Also - the back edge of wall is concrete for walking on it with shoes/sandals. That's why it's a different texture than the mat. Not sure why we now need to remove shoes when entering/exiting the locker rooms. Please reinstate that part as normal walking so we can walk to the back and get prepared without having to stop first at the benches near desk to take shoes off. Otherwise --everyone is doing great and I'm having a blast. Thanks for the leadership and guidance through it all.

😻Hello Amazing People!😻 Let's talk Magnesium! With how stressed😟 today's world is, working harder and even large intake of certain medications; every one is super low in magnesium! It's amazing for so many things! Soaking our body or just feet in a bath🛀 of warm water and Epsom salts is a great way to relax those muscles from the outside. Super therapeutic! But did you know everyone can benefit from taking it internally? Different types of magnesium can focus more on the relaxation of muscles in the brain🤯, whole body 🕺and and even our gut🚽! One of my favorite things is making a very concentrated solution of epsom + warm water + lavender/peppermint oil and then soaking a towel in to and using it as a compress! One of the most common internal magnesium supplements I like (if you aren't too sensitive to it on a digestive level) is CALM! It's just magnesium citrate powder, kinda like a tart 🍋lemony🍋 drink. If you are sensitive to the "citrate" form, try Glycinate! We all need to intake at least, 350-400 mg of magnesium per day! It can sometimes even help us relax a bit better for sleep😌

Totally get that BUT, we need to sweat.💧 It's a way for our toxins to try to get out of our systems and for our temperature to balance. We don't want those toxins to concentrate and cluster in our lymph-nodes...that causes serious issues later on. Sweat and be proud of it! ✊If it's a smell you are worried about, work on eating cleaner, or take some chlorophyll! 🌱Some of my favorite natural deodorants, if you aren't a fan of how the baking soda ones seem to irritate you, go for magnesium based! 😻 My top three favorites are: Native (you can even get a custom scent based on a personality questionnaire online!), OWN and PhResh.

Tuesday Nutritional Tip! - Let's talk sodas! What happens when you drink high sugar drinks? First off, your body really shouldn't be taking in over 10 Teaspoons of sugar in one go! Companies add ingredients such as "phosphoric acid" to trick your taste-buds and gut to actually accept that much sugar! Every teaspoon of sugar can shut off your immune system form 3-4 hours! Why do you think people get sick, like clockwork, during/after the holidays? Sugar! Watch your intake, lower it to help your body keep it's metabolism, bacterial balance and immune system strong! Sugar is one of the biggest and scariest abundant ingredients that we intake and leads to not only diabetes, but depression! Look for alternatives sweeteners such as: Monk Fruit, Erythritol, Xylitol, and Stevia! Some of my favorite soda replacements are: Olipop!, Virgils's (sugar free), Blue Sky (sugar free), Zevia, Kombucha (9 grams or lower flavors) and Bai Bubbles!
🌞Good Morning Fighters!💪 Here is your 🌿Tuesday Tip🌿! Let's talk about oils! You know how every recipe book recommends to use olive oil when baking, or cooking on the stove-top? Remember, olive oil has a very "low burning point" which means that it can become a dangerous ingredient (long term use) when it hits a certain temperature. While olive oil DOES have amazing properties and is good for our Essential Fatty Acid health, it's truly meant to just add flavor or be added last! Best oils to cook with: 🥥Coconut Oil (refined doesn't have the coconutty taste), 🥑Avocado Oil, Butter and ghee/clarified butter.

Hot Or Cold Therapy: What’s Best For Muscle Recovery?

Happy Friday!


There is still much research that needs to be done on what is the best for post exercise, but there are a few benefits for both cold and hot treatments after a workout.

* Has been shown to reduce DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness)
* Constricts blood vessels to flush waste, like lactic acid
* Can reduce swelling and risk of injury from over training

* Relaxes the muscles for increased blood flow
* Can help the muscles from tightening after a workout
Some athletes like to go between the two, and for this the most recommended action is 1 minute of cold and 2 minutes of hot. (Keep in mind that ‘cold’
does not mean it has to be ice.)
