Aloha Royal Dancers,
Just a quick reminder that our chapter has moved from Royal Elementary to the new HBDA headquarters in Waimalu for the next quarter.
The address is 98-019 Kam Hwy, suite 211A & 212A. The location is next to Cutter Ford above Goodwill, across from Waimalu shopping center. There is an elevator and stairwell on the ewa side of the building.
Classes are still Tuesdays at 7-8:30pm starting tomorrow, July 8 and will go for 8 weeks. This quarter we are learning Rumba and East Coast Swing.
Cost remains the same, $20 for the 8 weeks of classes. $15 for Annual HBDA membership starting in April 2014 to March 2015. If you joined us last quarter you do not have to pay for that membership again until next April.
If Waimalu is too far to travel, there are options. You can join Kaimuki Chapter, also on Tuesdays 7-8:30p or Aliamanu Mondays 7-8:30p.
You can find out more information about these chapters here: http://www.hbda-hawaii.org/chapters.html

Aloha Royal Dancers!
Just a quick reminder that the "Winter World of Love" semi-formal is tomorrow night (Saturday, December 1) 6-9:30pm at the Ala Wai Palladium!
The theme is Blue, White, Silver
It's supposed to be prom-like so break out that puffy shirt and powder-blue suit or poofy crinoline dress you've been saving in the closet, it's time to ballroom dance like you did when you were in high school!
(Then again, we didn't have ballroom dancing at my prom so I guess this would be an improvement over the awkward holding-swaying to slow songs and spastic movement to fast songs we did back then.)
If you don't have your ticket yet, it is $10 at the door.
Your ticket includes a bento.
Also the organizers recommended that since this is a prom-like semi-formal each of you should get your date a gift (suggestion was flowers, a lei, or corsage).
Okay! See you tomorrow night!
P.S. Don't forget we have our Social Potluck on Tuesday (12/3). It is our Christmas party so remember to bring food and your holiday spirit! 7-9pm at Royal
Aloha Royal Ballroom Dancers!
Just a quick reminder that we do not have class tonight (11/6) due to the election.
We do, however, have a hosting job to do this weekend. That's right, Royal is helping to host the Review Night at Aliamanu Middle School this Saturday (11/10) 6:30-9:30pm.
If you can help us that would be great.
Drop a message if you have any questions!
Mahalo,
Patrick Chee
Secretary, HBDA Royal
p.s. Please take this time off from class to go and vote today!

Royal's Tuesday evening classes are now about halfway through the 4th Fiscal Quarter. By this time the beginners should have learned just about all the basics for the particular dance being taught, and the "old-timers" enhanced their understanding to improve their movements and be better dancers.
Members join the Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association for enjoyment, exercise and learning the basic-to-advanced steps of American Social dancing. Other HBDA chapters also offer International style.
This is the 2nd day of 4th Quarter classes for HBDA's Tuesday sessions.
