All training is currently done at Gym Time at 244 1st St, SW, Alabaster, AL.
There is no 30 minute workout today. Instead I'm offering a little bit of insight with calorie burn, goals and staying focused. Know why you're working out. Are you working out to get in shape? Are you working out to lose weight or drop body fat? Keep that in mind on your health and fitness journey.
For this week's 30 minute workout, we are doing a HIIT workout which actually only took 20 minutes but always be sure to properly warmup and cool down after your workouts. The awesome Allie joined me for this one as well. The workout is included in the video so, if you're looking for something to do one of these days, give this one a shot.

We are almost a month into 2020. How are those health and fitness goals going? Do you need help with accountability? Group training is a great option to help with both of those!
Also, I am excited to announce I will be giving discounted rates to military, law enforcement, firefighters and (grade school/college) students. (spouses included for mil/LEO/fire)
This training is held at Gym Time in Alabaster at 244 1st St SW (same shopping center as America's Thrift Store).
Rowing and elliptical - both are cardio machines that use both the arms and legs which help to increase your calorie burn. You can choose to do steady state or switch it up with interval training. Enjoy!
I have trained clients from age 13 to 84. A benefit of using a personal trainer is you receive programming built specifically for your goals. Let me help you or your child who needs specific training for any events or challenges you have coming up. Let's set up a time to chat!
I'm starting a weekly (hopefully) series called '30 Minute Workouts.' A lot of reasons people say they can't workout is because they don't have time so I am going to do a series of workouts that you can do within 30 minutes to show that you can get a good burn and hit those recommendations by the American Heart Association for good heart health. I challenge you to follow me on this journey and if there is something in particular you are wanting tested, comment below!
Just a short video of my Group Training held at Gym Time in Alabaster. This is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00-6:30. If you'd like to give it a try, message me and we can make it happen! Everyone else - see you tonight!
Everyone knows how much I enjoy using heavy weight but sometimes it's fun to change things up. Here are some highlights from this mornings workout where I used resistance bands, sliders with bodyweight and sled work. Such a great workout! If you are looking for workouts that involve more than just weight machines and barbells, let's sit down and chat. I'd love to help you change things up with your workouts.

Every pregnancy is different. Always talk to your doctor about exercising during your pregnancy and follow what your doctor tell you.
Being pregnant doesn't mean you have to stop everything you're doing for nine months. Raychel has been training with me since before getting pregnant and all during her pregnancy. Only a couple of months left and she's still kicking butt.
If you're looking for a trainer to be with you during this exciting time, let me help! After speaking with your doctor, I will do programming that aligns with your doctor's instructions.
UPDATE: Both small groups are FULL. So excited to begin! Thank you for the great response. There is still some spaces left for the boot camp so be sure to get your name on the list and get ready to begin on October 1st!

My clients just keep getting stronger! I'd like to give a shout out to Julia for getting a deadlift PR of 170lbs! This is 30lbs over her last max. I love helping women get stronger and capable of handling physical challenges they might encounter throughout their daily life. #strongwomen #strengthisbeauty #beast

Try taking a 10 minute walk after you eat. Not only is it good for your health, it's a great way to increase your activity throughout the day.
triciasilverman.com Researchers recently found that aiming to walk 10 minutes after each meal lowered blood sugar more than exercising all at once…results were particularly promising after the dinner meal where people tend to eat more carbohydrates and are usually more sedentary. Aiming to walk 10 minutes after each ...
Easy Meal Prep Idea! I love doing this and I get quite a few meals out of this. On Sunday, make some taco meat and rice of your choice (yellow/spanish are pretty tasty to me). Open a can of black beans and rinse. I usually use about 80g of meat, and half a cup of rice and beans each. Warm up and mix together. Then load on the veggies of your choice. Here I have lettuce, tomato, 14g of cheese, and avocado. My husband loves to add salsa, onions and jalapenos as well. Stir and enjoy!
[08/19/19] Boot Camp starts today!!! I can't wait to see everyone this evening! 💪🏃♀️🧗♀️⛷🚴♀️

[05/27/19] Going into a gym can be intimidating and, a lot of times, people don't know what to do besides a few machines and a few minutes on the elliptical or treadmill. Let me help change up your workouts and get you those results you're working so hard to get.
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends that women who are healthy and have a normal pregnancy are safe to continue and even start exercising. There are many benefits of exercising during pregnancy for both the mother and baby!
I am knowledgeable and apply the current guidelines in the training of my pregnant clients. Workouts include full body strength and moderate intensity cardio (of course programming always depends on each individual client). I do not shy away from core strength training because this is so important in helping the mother to maintain good posture and minimize low back pain as the baby grows and core strength also helps with pushing during delivery.
If you’re looking for a trainer during this special time of your life, let’s talk!
I was really excited about the large turnout this evening for a nutrition meeting! You've got the knowledge - let's get after it.
[02/13/19] I'm looking forward to our nutrition meeting this evening. I've emailed some information to everyone who said they were attending. You might want to bring a lawn chair unless you don't mind sitting on the floor or standing up. See everyone tonight!!!
[01/28/19] Weather Watch: As of now, due to the high chance of snow and ice, I have contacted all of my Tuesday morning clients to reschedule. All evening sessions are still going to run as normal tonight and tomorrow. If there are any changes to this, I will post on the page as well as attempt to message everyone personally.
