Veterans Yoga Project is devoted to enhancing access to yoga resources for Veterans with PTSD and other trauma-related difficulties. This includes direct resources about PTSD and PTSD treatments, especially therapeutic yoga practices. It also includes promoting education for yoga teachers who wish to learn the essential elements to working effectively Veterans with PTSD.

Objectives: 1. To provide resources and support to Veterans with PTSD and other psychological distress. o Via website resources o Via our veterans yoga groups o Via distribution of CD, practice guide, and similar resources 2. To educate yoga therapists in the mindful provision of yoga to Veterans with PTSD and other psychological distress. o Via training workshops 3. To increase the availability of Mindful Yoga Therapy in mental health treatment programs for Veterans. o Via education of clinicians and policy makers o Via quality research

Mission: To provide education and support for the mindful use of therapeutic yoga practices as an aid in the recovery process from PTSD and other psychological distress among US Veterans, their families, and their communities.

Veterans Yoga Project Announces 200 Hour Mindful Resilience Yoga Training for Vets

VYP received a generous grant from the National Football League and Bob Woodruff Foundation which partially funds the creation of Veterans Yoga Project Yoga Academy.
