Dark Meat Ultimate

We are a high school California ultimate disc team hailing from the small city of Alameda. We strive to introduce the sport of ultimate to local youth.

"My favorite part of YCC was being able to coach the team for half a game. Honestly I had never felt so good in my life, after being told by 3 amazing coaches that they were going to step off the field and let the captains handle it made my life change forever. Telling my teammates what I wanted them to do and then see that develop on the field made me realize that they trusted one another as if they were family. The trust, and mindset that this team had was crazy I had never seen such a happy and cheerful team in my life, but that’s just the beauty of ultimate."

Can you believe it's the year of the bear three years in a row?!

Jake has graduated!

What a game for Sam Kunz. The AUDL rookie made his second appearance on the Spiders roster and again led the team in blocks. He's 3rd on the Spiders defensive leader board and he's only played 2 games all season. He'll be playing in his first home game with the Spiders this Saturday when he'll help rally the defensive squad against the San Diego Growlers.

Over the past two weeks, we've held low-cost Girls Clinics in El Cerrito and Alameda, California - sharing our love of #ultimate with over 50 girls! We could not have done it without the help of our amazing volunteers: Fury and Nightlock Ultimate, Julie Patton Barr & Joe Barr at our El Cerrito Clinic and Ashley Black, Halsey Hoster, Marisa Rafter, Danielle, Sujata, Lydie Thomas & Alice Myerhoff at our Alameda Clinic. A special thanks to San Francisco FlameThrowers for donating so many discs to our Alameda participants, and to a very special donor Satchel Douglas, who is helping more girls continue to play our sport. #playlikeagirl

First time in a very long time that all of our seniors graduated from ACLC.

The ladies finished third in the pool to set up an epic quarterfinal against Roosevelt. Cali fired up the break train after scoring to make it 5-10(coincidence?). From there, Roll went to take the game 13-11. Yes, an 8-1 run. MADNESS!!!

Cali Roll is in the semifinals against HB Woodlawn(Virginia) at 7am PST.
