Be The Runner

Be The Runner is Marty Beene's running coaching and personal training business.

Personalized running coaching... from someone just like you. I work with every individual to develop a program to help you achieve your running goals. I'm not an Olympian or world record holder - instead, I'm just like you, and I use my years of experience to help guide you toward those goals. I am also a certified personal trainer (by the National Academy of Sports Medicine), as well as a Fitness Nutrition Specialist and Senior Fitness Specialist. I hold a Level 2 coaching certification in endurance events from USA Track & Field.

I was quoted in an excellent article posted the other day on MapMyRun by Ashley Lauretta about advice to follow or not follow... Getting training tips from friends can be helpful … until it is not. Runners love to talk about running — and with those conversations come all kinds of training tips and tidbits.

Feeling a little unbalanced? Weak? Tight? I just learned how to help you! I'm now a NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist!
