Have you met our furry friends? These two are staples at the gym. On the left is Owa (pronounced like Iowa without the I), Brittany's puppy. On the right is Bogey, Donovan's dog. These two take their role of announcing your arrival at the gym very seriously, which includes a lot of barking. However, they are both friendly and will love your forever if you give them a treat when you leave. #puppylove

Did you know that cooling down is as important as warming up? The cool-down relaxes your muscles and lowers your heart rate and breathing from your workout intensity. It helps your body to eliminate lactic acid and other waste products faster and to repair micro-injuries. Make sure you always spend a few minutes stretching at the end of your workout!

Don't have a lot of time to workout? Have you considered High Intensity Interval Training or HIIT? Check out this short, but informative article from the TIME Magazine to learn more about how it works.
It is important to eat enough before a workout. Often, a small snack like a small bowl of oatmeal, yogurt or almonds, about an hour before your workout will give you a boost to be able to push yourself best. The trick is finding the right amount of time to digest before you begin, and also eating enough, but not too much. It is different for everyone. But if you are feeling like you can't push yourself as much as you would like, trying eating a bit before you go!
We want all of our members to feel safe. For this reason we have 24 hour security cameras. We also leave the lights on all the time. There will be times that you are in the gym by yourself, please be mindful to keep yourself safe.
We also ask that ALL members use their key FOB to scan themselves in. Do not bring anyone with you to use the gym, without first having them sign a waiver & pay for a day pass. Call the gym ahead of time if you need help with this. Each key FOB is only for the person who pays for it. Violations will result in cancellation of membership without refund.

Did you know?? Breathing is one of the most important aspects of working out. Connecting breath with movement allows your body to get the most out of exercise. Without it, your body can't properly function! Therefore, swimming is the only exercises where you should be holding your breath. ALL other exercise required an inhale & an exhale with every repetition!
Tip: you should always exhale on the hardest part of the exercise. For example, on a push up, you exhale as you push yourself away from the ground. Or on a bicep curl, exhale as you curl the weights up.
Humans have 5 basic senses, each correlating with a sense organ that sends information to the brain, allowing us to understand and perceive the world around us. When we develop awareness of our senses we create a deeper connection with our self, our traumas and our ability to heal.
This workshop will encompass Kundalini Yoga, Touch Skills, Zero balancing and AcuWellness.
Zero Balancing is a hands-on bodywork system that addresses bone held tension and organizes ligaments. AcuWellness is a 5 point Ear Acupuncture technique to support detoxification in the body, the reduction of stress and increase in energy and sleep. We will be offering these treatments after engaging in a Kundalini practice and learning touch skills that link us to bone felt connection with one another.
