I called the manager of Anytime Fitness, Eddy(Eddie?), to tell him that their opening, which they announced via email, last night, appears to violate the Colorado 'Safer-at-home' States orders that explicitly mandate that gyms are to be closed "30 days from April 27"; "Gyms and spas will not reopen." The manager then told me that they are doing "personal training sessions" which apparently is a loophole around the current regulations. Additionally, this "personal training" will not cost extra (as it had cost extra prior to the crisis), but will be included in regular dues, which every member will be charged for even if they do not take advantage of this "opportunity". It's obvious that this is about collecting dues from ALL of their member regardless of the fact that they violating Public Health Orders, and cannot possibly accommodate all of these members needs anyway. By only allowing 10people/hour for an average of 10.5hours/day means that only ~100 people max could theoretically work out at the gym each day; A gym that each and every member signed up with under the expectation that they would have access "ANYTIME". It's right in the name- Anytime implies 24/7. They are opening back up out of greed and for their own self interest. They do not care about the order, and are obviously trying to take advantage of a loophole. For the safety of our staff and members, we are temporarily required to modify our hours. We will be open from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm Mondays-Thursdays, Fridays 5:00 am to 7:00 pm and Saturdays 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and closed Sundays. During these hours we are required to limit our capacity to 10 members at any given time. We kindly ask that you keep your visit to 60 minutes to allow others an opportunity to gain access for their workout.
