Making plans to attend the Shetland Sheep Show next year

The Wisconsin Sheep & Wool Festival proudly showcases the heart of Wisconsin's rich tradition in sheep production and fiber arts. Join fellow enthusiasts, artisans, producers, and families September 11-13 at the Jefferson County Fair Park, 503 N. Jackson Ave., Jefferson, WI, for a weekend filled with educational opportunities, interactive demonstrations, exciting competitions, and more than 100 vendors offering unique sheep, wool, and fiber-related products.

Celebrate the dedication of local sheep producers, the artistry of fiber creators, and the vibrant community that continues to preserve and promote Wisconsin's agricultural heritage. Five full days in the wool palace and it’s a wrap! Surrounded by over 90 amazing fleeces was quite the experience.

We have before and after pictures of our wool show area so we can keep making improvements.

Will I do this again? Yes! Experience is amazing and you always learn from every one of them!

This week will be treasured for sure, until next time!

We’re all set up! ❤️

Come and see the Oregon Purebred Sheep Breeders Association booth next to the Wool Show at the Oregon State Fair! 🎡

We’re looking for new members interested in working together and promoting purebred sheep in Oregon. 🐑

And I’ll be spinning our first Shetland yarn EVER made with roving from our new drum carder! A dream come true. 🧶

The crossbred experiment was a success! They all went to their new home today and get to all be together. Of the two lambs that went to the Black Sheep Gathering they did awesome so the wool didn’t turn out too bad. They each won reserve champion in their division in the Natural Colored Sheep Primitive and Down breed classes.
Let us know if you’re interested and we’ll save a Shetland ewe or two this fall to breed to a Babydoll. They are awesome! Thank you, Sarah Hinz for finding their forever home!

We’re all set up at the Black Sheep Gathering and are looking forward to an amazing weekend! Come and see our beautiful lamb crop and check out their super soft fleece. 🥰

We processed lambs today and took registration photos of the flock. We’ll soon have registered Babydoll and Shetland ram lambs available, or even wethered fiber pets too.
