We processed lambs today and took registration photos of the flock. We’ll soon have registered Babydoll and Shetland ram lambs available, or even wethered fiber pets too.
Crossbreeding experiment in process…follow along to learn more.

We’ve come a long way in two years. ā¤ļø Be careful what you wish for and be sure you have good help! We’re exhausted, but had an amazing weekend hanging out with new friends and catching up with some old ones!

What is an Oessant? Robert, maybe we should get rid of the Shetlands? They have even smaller ones out there!

šŸ‘ Comparison of Sheep Breed Sizes – Know Your Stock!
From the massive Suffolk to the tiny Ouessant, sheep breeds come in all shapes and sizes—and each one serves a different purpose on the farm. Whether you're raising for meat, milk, or adaptability, understanding breed size helps you make smarter farming decisions.

šŸ“Œ Bigger breeds = higher meat yield
šŸ“Œ Medium breeds = balanced performance
šŸ“Œ Smaller breeds = low maintenance & great for limited space

No matter your farm size, there’s a perfect breed for you!

Day two of Ag Fest, let’s go!! We had a busy day yesterday sharing our love of sheep and their wool. We even had repeat customers from last year. Three kids remember what color they dyed their Border Leceister lock and still have it!

Getting ready for Ag Fest this weekend by scouring a couple pounds of Border Leicester and Shetland fleeces for the drum carder.

Our fiber art booth will have dying and carding wool activities for the kids and I’ll be giving our volunteers spinning lessons in between demos.

It’s not too late to join us! We could use one more volunteer, Sat 9-11am. Free entry into the festival is included. You’ll be glad you did. šŸŽ‰

We have cute sheep around here and they’re about to get cuter! Lambing season is coming and our lambs will be better acclimated this year, hopefully providing some great opportunities for sheep therapy in 2026! It’s a thing, and I’m šŸ’Æon board.

Everyone's heard about goat yoga, but how about sheep therapy? Sheep-related therapies are developing around the world
