Amazing Amilia pulled a national record of 473lbs. She also completed a 501lb lift but was red lighted for hitching! Very strong lady!

[09/25/17] The road to Fitness is filled with good intentions. Do your good intentions stop before the road does? Drive people drive!
PERFORMANCE NUTRITION - The reason for fitness goers not achieving their fitness goals is because they eat poorly 23 hours in a day and expect to fix the problem in a one-hour workout routine. Athletes will focus on preparing themselves for 23 hours of the day with proper nutrition intake to ensure a successful one hour training session. - just something to think about from the USPA Performance Nutrition chapter.

You don't have to be a powerlifter to take these powerlifting classes. The knowledge you will gain from these classes will apply to your everyday lifting routine. If you need help putting a routine together or workout plan or even want to talk about diet contact me!
Just a tid bit of basic information for you.
GENERAL WARM-UP is an overall physical movement that does not mimic the desired exercises.
1. Increases blood flow to muscle
2. Increases rate of muscle contraction
3, increase efficiency relationship of Agonist and antagonist.
SPECIFIC WARM-UP is a physical movement that specifically mimics the exercise to be performed.
1. Increase range of Motion
2. Prepares the fascia tissue for greater intensity of force.

I just put out a sign up sheet for Powerlifting basics / competition prep classes. This class will help look at your form in the three disciplines of powerlifting. The bench press, the squat and the deadlift. Looking at Form and Function and how to get strong in each discipline as well as what's expected in a competition. These will be small group settings one to three times a week pending on class size. $10 per person per class for members $20 per class non- members. Days and times are to be announced. Blessings everyone! Hey I see alot of folks in the squat rack with form that makes my knees hurt. I may tap you on the shoulder next time I see you and add some corrective advice. I am a certified powerlifting instructor so I watch for those kind of things. Same goes for the deadlift and the bench as well as other free weight exercises. If you have any questions about any exercises or form please don't hesitate to call me contact me and ask. I'm considering a powerlifting 101 class here soon again, let me know if you are interested. If you have friends that are interested as well have them contact me or let me know and we'll get the ball rolling on it. My goal is to help people lift safe, get stronger and be injury-free. [08/02/17] Hey everyone! Please stay hydrated through these hot days! If you're a die-hard lifter and you lift during the Heat it's especially important to be aware of how you feel- heat stroke can sneak up on you. Again lots of water and some added electrolytes will help get you through the workout! I would suggest lifting early in the day if possible. Have a wonderful day be safe and keep pushing forward!
