CBA 60, Bishop Maginn 35...Ian Schultz scored 15 points and Sloan Seymour added 14 as the Brothers jumped out to a big lead and cruised to a 60-35 win over Bishop Maginn. Andrew Evans chipped in with 10 points as CBA improved to 9-5 on the season.
CBA JV 69, Bishop Maginn 55...Devin Livingston scored 30 points to lead CBA over Bishop Maginn. Nick Parisi scored 12 points and Nick DeBrino added 11 for the Brothers, who overcame a tough shooting night to run their record to 11-2.
CBA 71, Schenectady 62...Sophomore Mike Wynn scored 23 points, leading the Brothers to a 71-62 upset over the state's 25th-ranked team. Freshman Sloan Seymour added 15 points and junior Andrew Evans had 10. CBA improves to 8-5.
CBA JV 64, Schenectady JV 62 (OT)...The Brothers battled back from a 13-point third quarter deficit to earn a hard-fought 64-62 overtime victory over Schenectady. The Brothers' win moved them to 10-2 on the season. Devin Livingston scored 13 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter to lead CBA. Kris Kopyc nailed five 3-point baskets en route to 16 points and Nick DeBrino added 11. Freshman Jah-mir White hit two free throws late in overtime to seal the victory.
Troy 64, CBA 41...Troy High's back court combined for 49 points leading the Flying Horses to a 64-41 victory over CBA. Sophomore Mike Wynn led the Brothers with 12 points and senior Matt Hamel added 10. The Brothers fell to 7-5, snapping a three-game winning streak.
CBA JV 63, Troy JV 42...The Brothers bounced back from a sloppy first half to defeat Troy 63-42. Devin Livingston scored 12 of his 23 points in the decisive third quarter to lead CBA. Nick DeBrino scored 15 points, Nick Parisi had nine, and Max Jones and Kris Kopyc each scored seven points for the Brothers, who improved to 9-2 on the year.
CBA 86, CCHS 82 (OT)...The Brothers placed five players in double figures on the way to a stunning 86-82 victory over home standing Catholic Central. Freshman Sloan Seymour led the way with 21 points, while junior Andrew Evans added 20, including six 3-point goals. Junior Ian Schultz and sophomore Mike Wynn each scored 15 points and senior Matt Hamel chipped in with 12. CBA improved to 7-4 on the season and take on rival Troy High on Friday night at the Ned McGraw Gymnasium.
CBA JV 70, CCHS JV 30...Nick DeBrino scored 18 of his game-high 25 points in the first quarter as the Brothers stormed out to a 20-point lead and never looked back in a 70-30 win over CCHS. Kris Kopyc added 14 points for CBA, which snapped a two-game skid and improved to 8-2 on the season.
CBA 73, St. Peter's 71...Freshman Sloan Seymour hit a jumper as time expired to give the Brothers a 73-71 victory over St. Peter's in the Consolation Game of the Alumni Holiday Tournament. Senior Matt Hamel led CBA with 20 points, junior Andrew Evans scored 17 points, including five 3-point baskets, and Seymour finished with 13. The Brothers improved to 5-4 on the season.
Shenendahowa JV 54, CBA JV 47...The Brothers jumped out to a 23-6 first quarter lead, but struggled against the Plainsmen's zone, dropping a 54-47 decision in the Championship Game of the Alumni Tournament. Nick DeBrino connected on five 3-point goals en route to his team-leading 17 points. The loss was CBA's first of the year after opening the season with seven straight wins.
Amsterdam 64, CBA 61...Kory Bergh hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer lifting the Rams over CBA in the 2014 Alumni Holiday Tournament. Freshman Sloan Seymour led the Brothers with 16 points while senior Matt Hamel added 12. CBA drops to 4-4 heading into the Consolation Game vs. St. Peter's of Staten Island...game time is 6:30 PM.
CBA JV 60, Bethlehem JV 50...The Brothers shook off a slow start and defeated Bethlehem 60-50 in the first round of the CBA Alumni Holiday Tournament. Devin Livingston scored 18 points, 14 in the second half, to lead CBA. Freshman Jah-mir White added 12 and Nick Parisi chipped in with 10 for the Brothers. CBA takes on a tough Shenendahowa team in the Championship Game at 4:30 PM.

CBA 74, Albany 59...The Brothers put five players in double figures and pulled away in the 4th Quarter in a 74-59 win over Albany High. Senior Matt Hamel and sophomore Mike Wynn each scored 14 points, junior Ian Schultz and freshman Sloan Seymour had 13 apiece, and sophomore Taurian Taylor chipped in with 12. CBA is now 4-3 heading into the Christmas break.
CBA JV 64, Albany JV 63...Devin Livingston scored 16 of his 24 points in the second half to lead the Brothers to a thrilling come from behind victory over Albany High. Nick Parisi added 12 points. CBA improved to 6-0 on the season.
CBA 64, LaSalle 53...The Brothers rebounded from a slow 1st Quarter start to earn a hard-fought 64-53 win over LaSalle Institute. Senior Matt Hamel led CBA with 18 points, while Andrew Evans and Mike Wynn each added 14. CBA evened its record at 3-3.
CBA JV 58, LaSalle JV 44...Nick DeBrino scored 17 points and Kris Kopyc added 12, including 4-4 from the free throw line down the stretch, leading the Brothers to a 58-44 victory over visiting LaSalle. CBA improved to 5-0 on the year and take on a very talented Albany High team on Friday night.
CBA 73, Bishop Maginn 41...Andrew Evans scored 21 points, including five three-point baskets, to lead CBA to a convincing 73-41 victory over visiting Bishop Maginn. The Brothers improved to 2-3 on the year.
CBA JV 93, Bishop Maginn JV 38...Kris Kopyc and Devin Livingston each scored 19 points to lead CBA to a 93-38 win over Bishop Maginn. Nick DeBrino added 18 points. The Brothers connected on 13 three-point baskets on the night. CBA improved to 4-0 and take on rival LaSalle on Tuesday night.
Albany Academy 64, CBA 45...Albany Academy outscored the Brothers 18-5 in the 2nd Quarter en route to a 64-45 victory. Junior Ian Schultz led CBA with 15 points.
CBA JV 67, Albany Academy JV 56...The Brothers jumped out to a 28-12 lead, connecting on 8 of 8 3-point goals in the 1st Quarter on the way to a 67-56 win over Albany Academy. Nick DeBrino topped CBA with 20 points and Devin Livingston added 19.
[12/09/14] The CBA-Bishop Maginn basketball games scheduled for tonight have been postponed due to inclement weather. The games have been rescheduled for Sunday afternoon...JV at 3:00 and Varsity to follow.
Schenectady 62, CBA 48...The Brothers were out scored in each quarter in a 62-48 loss at Schenectady High School. Sophomore Mike Wynn had 15 points while freshman Sloan Seymour added 11.
CBA JV 58, Schenectady JV 57...Devin Livingston hit a free throw with 9 seconds remaining to give the Brothers a thrilling 58-57 victory over Schenectady. Kris Kopyc hit five 3's on the way to a team-leading 15 points, Zyir Beverly added 12 points, including the game-tying layup, and Livingston finished with 10.

CBA JV 72, Saugerties JV 27...All ten players in uniform scored for the Brothers, who jumped out to a 30-5 lead and never looked back. Nick DeBrino led CBA with 16 points and Devin Livingston added 12.
[12/04/14] The CBA Varsity Basketball team opened its 2014-2015 season with a 60-46 victory over Watervliet. Sophomore Mike Wynn hit key free throws down the stretch and finished with 18 points. Senior Matt Hamel had 17, including 4 3-point baskets and junior Andrew Evans added 13 points.

CBA 90, CCHS 51...Junior guard Daniel Owens scored 19 points and junior forward Greig Stire added 17 as the Brothers rolled over the Crusaders 90-51 in the Big Ten opener. CBA visits Bishop Gibbons on Tuesday - JV at 5 PM; Varsity to follow.
CBA JV 71, CCHS JV 48...Sophomore guard Matt Hamel pumped in a game-high 33 points as the Brothers recovered from a slow start and handily defeated Catholic Central. CCHS jumped out to a 12-0 lead, but the Brothers answered with a 33-5 run and never looked back.
[11/25/12] CBA fans: Another season of Brothers Basketball begins Friday night, as CBA plays host to the Crusaders of Catholic Central. JV at 6 with Varsity to follow. Come out to the Ned McGraw Gymnasium and root on the Brithers in their quest for their eighth Section II title in ten years.
[06/30/12] Congratulations to Coach Dave Doemel '71, Josh Duell '04, and Sandy Brousseau '59 on their elections to the Capital District Basketball Hall of Fame. The ceremony will be held Sunday at the Hilton in Troy.
[03/18/12] Mount Vernon 68, CBA 44...The Brothers couldn't overcome 23 turnovers and succumbed to the state's #1 rated team in the State Semifinals at the Glens Falls Civic Center. CBA led after eight minutes and trailed by just six going into the half. Joe Krong led the Brothers with 12 points. CBA ends its season with a record of 21-3, the ninth straight season it has reached the 20 win plateau under head coach Dave Doemel. The Brothers have won seven of the last nine Section 2 Class AA titles, winning a NYS Championship in 2010. CBA graduates eight seniors and will look to a talented group of underclassmen lead the way next season.

[03/06/12] CBA 62, Troy 57 (OT)...Joe Krong hit a game-tying jumper with 3 seconds left in regulation as the Brothers overcame an early deficit to defeat Troy High School in the Class AA finals. It is the fourth straight title for CBA and it's seventh in the last decade. Nate Robinson led the way with 16 points and 10 rebounds, Chaz Lott added 14 points, and sophomore Greig Stire added 12 points and 14 rebounds. Krong scored 14 points on his way to MVP honors. CBA takes on Section 3 champs Utica-Proctor on Saturday night at 8 PM at Hudson Valley Community College.

The Brothers advanced to the Class AA Quarterfinals with a 72-44 win over Ballston Spa. Twelve players hit the scoring column for CBA, led by senior Christian Leppanen with 12 points. The Brothers will take on Shenendehowa, which held off Schenectady in its first-round game. Tip off is scheduled for 3 pm at Hudson Valley Community College on Saturday afternoon.

CBA defeated previously unbeaten Albany High last week to avenge an earlier loss and vault into first place in the Big Ten standings. The Brothers can clinch a share of the title with a win over Bishop Maginn this Friday night at the Ned McGraw Gymnasium.

CBA 78, Maginn 46...CBA jumped out to a 19-5 1st Quarter lead and never looked back, defeating long-time rival Bishop Maginn 78-46. Senior Joe Krong led the way with 16 points, while fellow seniors Chris Leppanen and Shala Cancer added 13 and 12 points, respectively. CBA improved to 7-1 in Big Ten play and 9-1 overall.
JV CBA 87, Maginn 34...Christian Ward scored 17 points to lead four players in double figures. Noah Arciero and Brian Renauld added 12 points and Dan Owens had 11 for the Brothers. CBA is 7-1 in league play and 8-2 overall.
CBA 63, Lasalle 43...Joe Krong scored 14 points and Shala Cancer added 13 to lead a balanced scoring attack as CBA defeated arch-rival Lasalle. The Brothers improved to 4-0 heading into Tuesday night's showdown against Albany High.
JV: CBA 62, Lasalle 38...Noah Arciero led the way with 21 points, propelling the Brothers past Lasalle in a Big Ten Conference game. Jake Foglia chipped in with 14 points, including four three-point baskets. CBA improved to 4-0 in league play and takes on a very tough Albany team on Tuesday night.
CBA 73, Bishop Gibbons 56...Joe Krong led the way with 17 points leading the Brothers over a gritty Bishop Gibbons team. Senior Christian Leppenan and sophomore Nick Marini each added 12 points for CBA.
JV: CBA 81, Bishop Gibbons 36...Malik Dare scored 24 points and Noah Arciero had 21 as the Brothers handily defeated Bishop Gibbons in a Big Ten matchup. Dan Owens added 10 points for CBA, which improved to 2-0 in league play.
