Rich Budd has been part of Elevate’s story since the very beginning, helping shape the events, ideas, and opportunities that have become such an important part of who we are today.

From Dine-Ins and Cardboard Boat Races to Cruise-In Car Shows, Rich has played a key role in bringing people together and turning community ideas into events that make an impact.

But one of his most meaningful contributions came through something that continues to make a difference years later: helping establish Elevate’s first-ever youth scholarship, the Chris Corwin Memorial Scholarship.

Created to honor Chris’s memory while investing in the next generation, the scholarship has been awarded to graduating seniors at Minisink Valley Central School District since 2016. To date, it has provided more than $31,000 in scholarships. 🎓

That’s what Elevate is about—remembering the people who have made a difference, bringing our community together, and creating opportunities that continue to make a difference for the next generation.

We’re grateful for everything he has helped build, and even more grateful for what we get to continue building together.

Thank you, Rich, for helping Elevate grow from an idea into an entity that proves results. 💙

🏐 Every young athlete deserves the opportunity to play, learn, and grow.

Sports create so much more than athletes. They build confidence, encourage teamwork, create lifelong friendships, and provide opportunities that extend far beyond the court.

Unfortunately, the cost of camps, clinics, club programs, equipment, and other athletic opportunities can create barriers for many families.

That’s why we created the Level Up Scholarship. 💙

Our mission is simple: to make volleyball and athletic opportunities more accessible for youth in our community by helping remove financial barriers.

📊 Here’s the impact we’ve made together:
🎓 26 scholarships awarded since 2022
💙 More than $15,000 invested in youth athletes
🏐 More than $8,500 awarded during the last application cycle alone

Scholarship awards have ranged from $250 to $3,000, allowing us to support families based on their individual needs.

Whether it’s helping an athlete attend a camp, participate in a clinic, join a club team, or continue developing their skills, we’re committed to creating opportunities for the next generation.

📅 The next application window opens November 1, 2026, and closes January 31, 2027.

Do you know an athlete or family who could benefit from this opportunity?

Share this post and help us spread the word.

Together, we can continue creating opportunities for more young athletes to play, grow, and thrive. 🤍

Our fundraising and awareness events are something special and close to our hearts.

We have been asked WHY do you do an event like this and it comes down to this:

Over the years, Lucky Puppy has become a staple in the Capital Region, connecting dogs in need with families ready to give them the love and care they deserve. In 2025 alone, they helped more than 600 pups find their forever homes.

What makes this organization so special isn’t just the number of adoptions. It’s the people behind it.

Lucky Puppy is powered by an incredible group of volunteers who genuinely care about every dog that comes through their rescue. Their commitment to safe, responsible, and compassionate adoptions is what makes them an organization our community continues to believe in.

Every dog deserves a second chance and every family deserves the opportunity to experience the unconditional love a rescue dog can bring.

That’s why we’re proud to support Lucky Puppy and help them continue doing what they do best: bringing dogs and families together. 🏡🐶🤍

Save the date! We’re taking over Frog Alley Brewing on December 13th for our Annual Pups & Pints event and it’s going to be a good one. 🐶
