[03/20/20]   Hi everyone,
Andy Ruiz and I hope that all of you and your loved ones are doing well through the coronavirus crisis. New York and adjacent states have been especially hard hit, but have also taken initiatives to minimize contagion. Still, it's likely that the measures put in place will continue to be in effect in some form for a while.

We have been tracking the situation and discussing possible options for this year's Farmers Daughter Gravel Grinder since late February. With hope that we can run the event as planned dwindling each day, we have decided to postpone Farmer's Daughter to a later date in the hope that it will be feasible then. We are tentatively targeting September 13, which is another beautiful time of year in Columbia County.
We hope that all of you will be able to participate then; anyone who cannot will be able to obtain a refund of your entry fee for 2020 (minus the BikeReg fee.) We will have details on all this shortly, but wanted to let you know about the changes as soon as possible.

Please take seriously the measures that have come from the CDC and state and local health departments. We want to see everyone who makes Farmer's Daughter a great event back together as soon as we can make that happen: participants, sponsors, volunteers, and all those we each care about. Our thoughts are with you, stay well!

Jon and Andy

[03/15/20]   Regrettably we have had to cancel this year’s Trooper Brinkerhoff Race Series due to the coronavirus. The school where we stage the race from has banned outside groups and given the worsening situation, we don’t think it’s prudent to arrange another staging venue.
We will process refunds (minus the Bikereg fee) on Friday. However, rather than having the fee refunded, we would ask if you would consider donating your registration fee to the Trooper Brinkerhoff Scholarship Fund. As many of you may be aware, we give most of the proceeds from the race to local community groups. Our biggest donation is the Trooper Brinkerhoff Scholarship Fund. Last year we gave over $3,000 to the fund. 100% of the donations will go to the scholarship fund. Any costs that we incurred setting up the race series will be absorbed by the club. If you wish to donate your membership fee, email [email protected]. If we don't see an email from you, we will gladly issue the refund.
We cannot thank everyone enough for the support you’ve shown the Brinkerhoff Series over the years. Please rest assured that we will be back next Spring.

[12/14/19]   Hey folks,

Planning a Sunday road ride at 8:30 from park and ride. Forecast is calling for 30-35 mph winds with a few instability snow/rain showers with an early high around 40. Falling temps as day goes on. My plan is to ride due south and stay out of exposed areas. Plus, riding in that direction will be a bit warmer and less chance of instability precipitation blowing off of the escarpment.

Ride time 2-2-1/2 hrs getting back in time to see Tommy’s race.

Tommy- Junior race @ 11:15am (eastern standard time)
Patrick – U-23 race @ 2:20pm
Curtis - elite men @ 5:15pm
Live streaming of Sunday's races will be available on USA Cycling’s YouTube channel for the junior men’s, youth women’s (ages 17-22), U23 men’s, elite women’s, and elite men’s races. Racing will begin at 8:15 a.m. Pacific Time with commentary by Tim J.

Tommy grabbing some last minute UCI points before heading to Tacoma, WA for Nationals.

Patrick securing the Vittoria series leaders jersey. After a handful of cat 3 races Patrick upgraded to cat. 2 (today) and will be racing the UCI elite race tommorow.
