It is with great sadness that we share with you that on August 20th, our beloved owner of Empire Golf Expo & Waubeeka Golf Links, Michael Deep passed away after a hard-fought health battle. For those of us that knew Mike, his love for the game of golf and the passion for this industry was like no other and he was truly an inspiration to many. In 2013, he fulfilled his life-long dream of owning a golf course and poured his heart and soul into operating Waubeeka Golf Links in Williamstown, MA with visions of someday building a destination resort. His passion and drive were what initially led him to purchase the Empire Golf and Travel Expo in late 2019, just months before the 2020 show. He yearned to help support the golf industry, local courses, and area businesses as a whole. We’d like to thank all our customers, exhibitors and partners for the great memories over the past few years that he held so close to his heart.

As you can imagine, the sudden passing of Mike left a huge gap to fill in his business operations. Planning the golf show takes months of preparation. With that in mind, we regret to inform you that we will not be holding a physical show at the Albany Capital Center in 2023. This was a very difficult & emotional decision but is imperative for the long-term success of Empire Golf and Travel Expo. This allows us additional time to prepare a successful show for the 2024 season. We will be back! It is our intention to still offer our Empire Golf cards for 25 rounds of golf to patrons which will become available online in early December. We also intend to help support our usual vendors that have been so loyal to us for many years in some capacity, more information on that to follow soon.

Thank you for your understanding during this very difficult time. We invite you to stop by and say hello to us over the 2023 season at Waubeeka and look forward to what the future holds.
