Yesterday, I received the kind of message no community ever wants to receive: someone I know, love, and respect is no longer with us.

It broke my heart.

Not only because of the loss, but because I know what it means when someone is suffering in a place so dark and isolated that they begin to believe there is no way out.

I want to say this clearly:

Please reach out.

You do not have to suffer alone.

I am not a mental health professional, but I can hold space. A friend can hold space. A loved one can sit with you. And if you are in crisis, you can call or text 988 to connect with the Su1c1de & Crisis Lifeline.

I also know, from my own life, that sometimes the mind can search for relief in dangerous ways. When pain feels unbearable, the desire may not truly be to die — it may be the desperate desire for the suffering to stop.

But suffering changes. The moment changes. The chapter changes. And you are worthy of staying here long enough to see what comes next.

One of the things I have learned through life, grief, and spiritual practice is that we are not meant to move through darkness in isolation. Sometimes letting just a little steam out of the kettle — saying, “I’m not okay,” “I’m struggling,” “I need someone” — can create enough space for breath, connection, and another possibility.

Please check on your people. Please let people check on you. 
Please reach out before the darkness convinces you that you are alone.

You are not alone.

Sending love to anyone grieving, anyone struggling, and anyone quietly carrying more than they know how to say.

If you’re doing Reiki, energy hygiene matters. It’s how you stay grounded, protected, and clean—so you don’t absorb what isn’t yours, and you don’t take your client’s stuff home with you. It’s important that you clear your field, protect your channel, and seal your sessions so your work stays clean and your body stays regulated. In this training, I’ll show you easy ways to open and close a session, clear your energy, and keep your channel clean. If you want to practice with confidence, this is one of the most important skills you’ll learn.
