High Desert Yoga offers yoga classes, yoga teacher training courses and more in order to create a nurturing environment where Yoga is for Everyone!
High Desert Yoga opened the doors of its New Mexico yoga studio in 1995 with the goal of graciously welcoming everyone to the study and practice of yoga. We seek to make the healing benefits of yoga available to all ages and abilities from youngsters to elders, from novice to advanced practitioners, including people with therapeutic needs. With this in mind, we offer beginning and advanced yoga classes along with an array of specialty classes, yoga workshops, yoga teacher trainings, retreats, and other community offerings. And the people stayed home.
And read books and listened, and rested and exercised, and made art and played games, and learned new ways of being and were still.
And listened more deeply.
Some meditated, some prayed, some danced.
Some met their shadows.
And the people began to think differently.
And the people healed.
And, in the absence of people living in ignorant, dangerous, mindless and heartless ways the earth began to heal.
And when the danger passed, and the people joined together again, they grieved their losses, and made new choices, and dreamed new images, and created new ways to live and heal the earth fully, as they had been healed.
We're doing our part to protect our local community against the spread of of COVID-19 by putting a temporary hold on all classes until April 10th.

- Effective Wednesday March 18, studio yoga mats and soft props (blankets, bolsters, foam blocks, yoga belts, etc.) will be placed in quarantine. Currently wood blocks and metal chairs are available for your use and will be effectively sanitized after each use.
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MAT AND PROPS.
