Supported (with appreciation) by NMA, the New Mexico Ballet Company’s Nutcracker Ballet is a decades-long tradition in Albuquerque. The show is always presented the weekend that immediately follows Thanksgiving as well as the weekend after that. Special performances by current New York City Ballet Principal dancers and live music by the New Mexico Philharmonic, conducted by David Felberg make for an exhilarating collaboration between extraordinary artists. NMBC also presents a Choreographer’s Collective in the Fall, a full-length ballet collaboration with the NM Philharmonic in the early Spring, and a performance of guest choreographer’s work in the late Spring.

Join us as we take a look back at 2021! This year, our company dancers slowly returned to the studio after several months of dancing at home on Zoom! Initial capacity restrictions kept classes small, but by fall, we were able to have full company classes again. Our dancers have been committed to fostering a safe and healthy environment, which has kept the studio open.
