In short, staying present helps boost your happiness.
I have a cognitive behavioral therapy book and one of the tips is to go on a walk and take pictures of things that you notice.

I’ve noticed since I’ve started weightlifting that I’m tighter in some areas more than others but yoga definitely helps with that! So if you’re a weightlifter that feels the same, you should definitely try it out. Even if it’s just the first few poses of the primary series, (that’s all I do).

When I first started my journey, I remember feeling anxious and embarrassed...
I sat down and begun to tell my story...
I felt a huge sense of relief as the words left my mouth.
But the the therapist said, “Oh, that’s not that bad.”
.....
I never went back. I actually didn’t start Cognitive Behavioral Therapy until a couple years later...
I don’t know who needs to hear this but...
What you’re struggling with, that’s f***** up. That’s complete bu****it and not okay. It is bad. It’s not normal. It is dysfunctional. It is toxic.
So if you’re struggling, don’t let people invalidate you or how you’re feeling!
And if you know someone that is struggling, do not say, “Oh, that’s not that bad.”
And don’t blame the victim!
Today I’m grateful for my healing journey! I’m grateful for the validation I’ve received.

And practice gratitude! There’s so much to be thankful for! 💖
1. Stress kills health, well-being and happiness.
2. Worrying or fear of current situations.
3. Living in the past.
4. Trauma
5. Comparing yourself to others.
6. Low self-esteem.
A few happiness killers.
Take a deep breath and remember to practice the attitude of gratitude.
Allow yourself to sit in uncomfortable emotions, show up, acknowledge them until... This next part is going to sound crazy but... Until you get bored.
Ask yourself, "What makes me happy?" Often.
Sitting with your uncomfortable emotions is another way to love yourself. No one said it was easy. But it is necessary.
Starting today until Valentine’s Day, what do you do to love yourself? To love yourself first is to love others truly. Yay or nay?
Whenever I tell my story, people are shocked. And then they would say, “But your smile.” Yes, I used to smile cause I was good at blocking it out but now I smile because I’m healing.
💖 With Valentine’s Day around the corner, all I can think about is how thankful I am for yoga.
🧘🏻♀️Yoga started my journey of awareness.
🤬😭So if you struggle with stress, anger, or any negative emotions, practice being mindful.
😌🙏🏼Through yoga, I’ve learned to become aware of negative thoughts that trigger emotions. These emotions can wreak havoc on our bodies.
🥰🥰But to keep it short, loving yourself will bring you more happiness than any holiday.
❤️🖤 Don’t love out of separation or lack, love because you are love. We all are love. 💗

Now that’s what I’m talking about. I recently seen this in a FB group. Is it me or does this make you want to go out and get a folding chair ASAP?!
Props have always been encouraged. Even before yoga became popular in the states.
Remember, every body is different. Our bones are different shapes and sizes. So when you feel discouraged, don’t. Make it your own practice for your own body. Yoga really is for everybody.
Once you get into your own routine, you’ll know what your body and practice needs. So meet your needs.
So true! How many times have you just hung out, dreaming every day and night?
Just start! It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be ready. Just start and you’ll see how your dream begins to grow and unfold. You’ll begin to see how “not ready” grows and develops into “getting ready” or “that’s better.” Let go of the fear of being imperfect and welcome a growth mindset of, “I’m new to this and that’s okay because I’m learning.”
