We join the American Red Cross and Pool & Hot Tub Alliance in recognizing May as National Water Safety Month. With drowning continuing to be the leading cause of death for children under age 4 and the second leading cause of unintentional injury death for children aged 5-14 in the United States, water safety isn’t optional, it’s an essential skill that children and families must practice.

A few simple habits can make all the difference when kids are around water. Safe swimmers start with parents teaching children these skills, and at 505 Swimming, we focus on building real confidence and safety skills in the water so kids are prepared!

Additional free swim lessons are now available for qualifying New Mexico families with class dates starting this June!
The 505 Swimming Scholarship Program provides free and reduced-cost swim lessons to increase access to learning this life-saving skill.
Families in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Farmington/Bloomfield who demonstrate financial need are encouraged to apply!

Peñasco/Vadito/Dixon/Velarde families! We're launching FREE swim lessons in Partnership with the Picuris Pueblo Education Department starting this May! Group lessons will be offered every Saturday with morning and afternoon classes available at no cost to you! You are only required to pay a refundable $30 registration deposit, which incentivizes class attendance and will be refunded back to you after the completion of classes.

Private lessons will also be available with limited spots available each Saturday at a cost of $38 per 30 minute lesson.
