Each month, we shine a spotlight on an outstanding student-athlete from New Mexico who is making an impact both in the classroom and in competition. This month, we’re proud to feature senior Willow Koseoglu from Academy for Technology and the Classics in Santa Fe.
A dedicated track and field athlete, Willow competes in the sprints and hurdles, where she’s learned the value of perseverance and discipline. “Track is painful and hard,” she said, “but it teaches you a lot.”
Beyond athletics, Willow values the sense of community she’s found through school and sports. As an upperclassman, she enjoys mentoring younger students and sharing the advice she wishes she had heard herself: don’t stress too much, focus on what truly matters, and keep putting effort into your future.
