Keshet Dance and Center for the Arts

Greetings artistic energetic travelers! Just heard about you on the radio, and I'm excited to learn more about you! Unfortunately, as a fellow artist, these times have impacted me as well. While I can't donate money, I can donate what I make!
This piece is an evolution of the Avant Garde/Dub-Reggae that I usually call home. Listening back, I imagined the clouds forming, floating, and dancing with the stars. It is yours to use, dance to, or simply zone out to! (if you'd like separate audio, let me know!)
Thank you Keshet and Shira Greenberg for the most amazing & inspiring zoom event to begin your 25 year celebration! ♥️
Thank you to all who came out to help today Keep Albuquerque Beautiful!

Exciting news!
The City of ABQ is upgrading all of the sidewalks along Cutler Ave to make them safer and ADA accessible!
Less exciting news - there's a whole bunch of crazy construction outside of Keshet for the next few weeks! But fear not, Keshet's parking lot will remain open and accessible throughout this period, just be prepared to use different entrances at times, and plan a few extra minutes to get to and from Keshet due to the construction on Cutler Ave.

What are ways that you celebrate?

We believe that each person has valuable experience, movement ability, and insight that can be helpful to someone else. Together, our dancers challenge and increase their skills in the classroom and onstage.

The Movement + Mentorship = Metamorphosis (M3) program is one of Keshet’s longest running programs, launched in 1997.

Our professional dancers and teachers bring a unique movement curriculum to youth who are incarcerated in the State of New Mexico, to provide mentorship and community through dance and choreography.
Keshet artists continue to work with the students through pre- and post-release from the facilities.

When you make a donation to Keshet, you support equitable education for all of Albuquerque’s students and help to make their voices heard.

Last month Keshet was honored to have the opportunity to present some of our co-created work from our Movement for Mercy production at The Opportunity Youth Forum hosted by the Aspen Forum for Community Solutions.

Movement for Mercy is co-created by Keshet Dance Company, members of Keshet’s Arts & Justice Youth Leadership Council, and currently incarcerated students within Keshet’s M3 Program (Movement + Mentorship = Metamorphosis).

"The Opportunity Youth Forum is comprised of a network of over three dozen urban, rural, and tribal communities seeking to scale multiple reconnection pathways that achieve better outcomes in education and employment for opportunity youth."

Thank you to Aspen Forum for Community Solutions for the inspiring work you ignite! Here is a small excerpt from our time there.
