I grew up playing fast-pitch softball and continued playing during college. I am an avid mountain climber and long-distance hiker. I've competed in numerous races, including half-marathons and Tough Mudder. I am incredibly fortunate to share my enthusiasm for health and wellness and to teach, help, and coach people to achieve their fitness goals and improve their lifestyle. I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Functional Training Specialist. I am an experienced cycling, kettlebell, and bootcamp instructor and specialize in athletic performance, strength and conditioning, stretching and flexibility. I am knowledgeable in snow-shoeing, snowboarding, and kayaking. I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, and training for Century Bike Races in my free time :-) SO…WHY DOES IT MATTER THAT I AM A TRAINER-WHO-DOES-STUFF? Well, ask yourself: does it matter that my dentist has good oral hygiene? Or that my lawyer understands the law? Or that my car mechanic knows how to drive a car? Or that my doctor knows a knee from an elbow? It matters that I “do stuff” because in doing so I am able to identify my clients’ needs more easily and I can relate theory to practice; it matters because it heightens my professional credibility; it matters because what’s better than someone who “walks the walk and talks the talk”?!! Strength Training for Cycling - Preparing for the Tour of the Rio Grande Valley in September. This is a personalized strength-training class designed to increase your cycling endurance and performance. This class will focus on cycling-specific workouts to prevent injury and promote recovery.
