Hello! I am a research assistant at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and I'm reaching out regarding a current UCSB study examining how parents have been affected during remote learning.

The study is currently recruiting participants for a short 5-10 minute survey. It has many important implications for improving work-from-home policies and parental well-being in childcare.

The survey can be accessed at https://tinyurl.com/COVID-time-use-survey. We would greatly appreciate your participation and outreach to parents, local PTA members and organizations – thank you for your time!

Do you have a graphic for this year's Fun Run that we can share on our own pages to help get pledges (and get people to come cheer the kids on)? Thank you!
Hello, I wanted to share with you our latest information for fundraising options for your Collet Park PTA. Do you have any immediate needs for funds? We are booking up pretty fast for the fall season with our Pastry Puffins and our Pretzel Rods are selling out as quickly as we have shipments sent in. Reflections Arts Program | National PTA 08/12/2021

Reflections Arts Program | National PTA

We are in need of a Reflections Chair!
National PTA's Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life.

Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.

The 2021–2022 Reflections theme is "I Will Change the World By…"

Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.

The Reflections Chairperon is responsible for advertising at the school, collecting student projects, and getting them judged. The winners in each category are then passed on to New Mexico PTA for the state competition, and then those winners go to National. We have had national winners from Collet Park in the past! Our school's winners are due to state in mid-January, so we have all semester to get this done. Who wants to help us with this amazing program?

Reflections Arts Program | National PTA Give students confidence in their abilities to explore ideas and learn through the arts in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. Encourage your school to imagine, create and celebrate with Reflections Arts Program.

Collet Park families! Please share with friends and family, you never know you might need this assistance right now.

Big news: today we announced the single largest eligibility expansion in the history of New Mexico's child care assistance program!

Effective August 1st, we will double eligibility for families, supporting tens of thousands more families in need all across the state – a true game changer for early childhood education, working families, and the broader New Mexico economy.

This is one of the most significant policy changes we can make to help New Mexico working families – and we’ll keep looking at ways to push the envelope even farther.

And we will recover -- and we can and will, and must, create the best public education system in the U.S., with your help and input.
