From Ms. Treadwell, Collet Park Principal, regarding the first two weeks of school:
8/12-8/14: I want to give you a truthful idea of what school will look like as we begin. We have just begun to pass out devices. We will not have all of the devices to the students until Friday. I know school is supposed to start on Wednesday. Teachers will be contacting parents and students, beginning on Wednesday. This week will be spent making sure students have the physical things they need to be engaged in school. Call the school if school supplies are difficult for you to purchase this year.
8/17-8/21: It will take us a week to be able to get every student online consistently for classes. We have experience from last year with the surprise shut down. It will take time to get every device on a network or get internet service for every student.
Students will spend that week: (August 17-21)
1. Practicing getting online at assigned times.
2. Doing activities to help them learn routines
3. Doing activities to help them learn software programs.
4. Meeting their classroom teachers and friends (Social time)
On Monday, August 24th we will be up and running academically for the school
[08/12/20]
