Kangeiko 2026 is in the books.
We had 30 members join us this year for a AM run and 1 hour training.
We focused on 3 times wait, 3 times try, 3 times do.
We worked on hip mobility, frequency, and kicks.
We learned on how to train our brain commit new information to memory.
We must acknowledge: Our youngest participant, Jack. Our fastest participant, Ryan. Most improved, Sean. Our going above and beyond, Senpai John K. Our wisest, Senpai Al. Our longest streak at 30 yrs, Senpai Rich. The one responsible for bringing us into the digital world, Senpai Lee.
Senpai John D touched on how we train for the years to come.

Kangeiko 2025 is in the books. It was a cold one and one to be remembered. Our youngest turned 9 yrs old on Wednesday. Our oldest was in his 70s. For one of our members this was his 29th consecutive Kangeiko. Our fastest member ran more than anyone else because he would finish and run back for his wife. Thank you for all of those attending and their families that supported them. This is just one of many ways we keep the art alive.

With great sadness and fond memories, we would like to acknowledge the passing of our JKA HQ Shusekishihan, Ueki Masaaki. He had been a steadfast supporter of JKA around the world and JKA WFA since its inception in 2007, attending our inaugural camp in Arizona and joining us again in New Mexico in 2008. In 2010, he was appointed Shusekishihan Ueki Masaaki and continued to showcase JKA around the world. He shared his support with JKA WFA as a Guest Instructor in New Mexico (2011, 2018, and 2019), Florida (2016), Costa Rica (2017). His last visit to the USA was to join us in North Carolina (2023). We are forever grateful for his time and the knowledge he shared with us. Please take a moment to remember his contributions and help us carry his legacy forward.
