Exercise is also known to help reduce the levels of stress hormones, which can also add unwanted stress to the heart, and lower blood pressure. Take a few minutes of your day, grab a friend, and get moving, your heart will thank you for it!

when are we going to find out when us diabetics can return to the gym.
Rehab team is great. I started 10 weeks or so walking in with a cane and oxygen.
Got rid of Oxygen in about two weeks (from using it at a '5' level at high need).
I still use my cane from time to time, but due to old hip pain, not heart problems.
I can now walk for almost a mile. I came to them starting at a 15 minute workout and now do just over thirty.
I began here not going out except for Dr. appointments. Now I do shopping and movies just like before. I've also lost 30 (more) pounds being 60+ lbs. lighter since heart surgery.
I had major heart surgery and spent 10 days in the hospital and two+ weeks in a rehab facility. Compared to New Heart, the rehab facility was a major waste
I wish I could have started my rehab with New Heart. They do what they say.

New Heart was founded in 1973, and has been growing since then to provide cardiac rehabilitation, diabetes management, and prevention programs for people committed to their own health and wellness.
