We have booked our cabin for the up and over!! As always this event is in the Taos ski valley a most challenging run/hike and is a great way to experience the beauty of NM in a new way. Taos also offers plenty of other hikes and mountain biking right from our cabin door so join us for the fun the first weekend in August. Saturday May 5th our first wolf running clinic from 8am until 11am. This clinic is for those that are ready to tackle long distances marathon and beyond!!

On May the 5th we are having our first coyote mountain bike clinic from 8am until 12pm. This clinic is going to cover fundamentals for moving on your bike, talking obstacles, climbing and descending, cornering, and skills drills to improve your bike handling.

[04/22/19]   Our pup mountain biking clinic is this Saturday April 27TH from 11-3pm. Space is limited to 8 participants and this clinic is designed for people new to mountain biking or just getting back at it.

Exercise for Stress and Anxiety | Anxiety and Depression Association of America, ADAA

Anxiety and depression can have a huge impact on our lives, but exercise can help!! This is a great article to share with anyone you know that is having a tough time. Better yet help show them the benefits by taking them out for a 10 minute walk. The physical benefits of exercise — improving physical condition and fighting disease — have long been established, and physicians always encourage staying physically active.

HIIT classes are a great way to boost your mood, stimulate your metabolism, push you past your comfort zone. We use our heart rate monitors to help push you to a targeted high heart rate and a low recovery heart rate.

These targeted pushes and recovery’s are exactly what boosts our metabolisms into over drive. Our body needs to account for our rise in temperature during exercise and bring us back to a steady state. What does this mean? We burn fat as our fuel during these types of classes and that increased fat burining continues beyond our normal metabolic burn of 1-2 hours post workout and has been shown to increase your calorie burn up to 12 hours post workout 😳😳😳!

Don’t worry if you don’t have a monitor we also run these classes based on time so you still get that HIIT class effect.

Bow pose is one of the more challenging body weight core exercises we do. This challenges all areas of your core if you feel this in your lower back don’t tuck your hands under your back. Instead bend your knees, then as you gain strength you can start to straighten your legs out. Hold for 30 seconds and rest for 30 slowly adding time and shortening your rest as you build.

Sandbells are a total body workout with one piece of equipment! This little bag replaces, sandbags, kettlebells, bum bells, and medicine balls. Being able to transition from one exercise to another without stopping keeps you heart rate up, builds muscle and challenges you to push harder.

Elvis leg is real!!! Taking ViPR up a notch with a little bosu ball. This makes you work not only your major muscle groups but also your accessory muscle groups. The bosu is used by physical therapist everyday to rebuild, strengthen, and teach accessory muscles to engage and support. We use it for the same reasons BEFORE you need to be in physical therapy.

It’s National ❤️ your pet day!! We wanted to take a minute to show some love to our furry family!! Life would not be the same without them. They join us on lots of adventures and are always ready to play. The visit the gym from time to time and spread the love there. Thank you Creature the adventure cat, Powder the agile, and Kachina the tank for letting us be apart of your world.

Group work is not only fun, but it is challenging!! We do group work to foster community we have such a diverse group of people that you never know who your going to meet, how they will challenge you, and what you will teach them.

The TRX is known for the incredible core workout you get while using it, but most of the time we use the straps with our feet in. These straps are so versatile that we can get and incredible core workout without putting our toes in!! Take a TRX fit class and find out how strong your core is😜😜

The importance of a good roll and yoga session cannot be said enough. We have been on a yoga hiatus for a bit and if feels so good to have it back. We hear from clients everyday about aches/pains and we give them our best advice roll and do some yoga. For the most part they listen and enjoy both the ass kicking they get from us and the recovery. Don’t be the one left behind on the couch this summer from an injury because yoga and rolling weren’t part of your routine. 🧘🏽‍♀️🎾🧘🏽‍♂️
